The Dome Series: The Corrupted City

Chapter 6

"Louis!!!!" I screamed.
"Lealoni!!!!" He screams back.

I reach out for a hand to grab me, but all I feel is dust. It's like the wind is speaking for him. I stretch out my hand and it grabs me. Louis' hands grab me.

"Louis" I said with relief.
"I'm here sis, I'm here" he softly replied.
"Where's mom??" I said.
"I don't know?? I thought she left to find you..." he says unsure
"Do you think??" I said sharply
"No!! She isn't. She is not dead!! I wont allow that" He said with despondent.

"Help!!!!!!" Pepsi screamed.
"Was that Pepsi??" Louis said.
"I don't know??" I replied.

We run toward this light glimmer, and it hits us with heat. Heat like the sun is right in front of us. The light gets brighter and brighter. Until the this image comes clear. Pepsi's house is on fire!!!

"Pepsi get away from there!!!" Louis screams.
"Where's Wonda??" I asked.
"Th... They took her!!" Pepsi said skittishly.
"Who took her?" Louis asked.
"V.I.L.A took her" She said.
"Where di-"

Half of the building collapses to the ground. Smoke goes up everywhere. It's like a magician messed up his magic trick.

"Where did they take her?" I replied.
"I don't know, but they took the Chief too" She said.

Me and Louis looked at each other and with out any hesitant we said...

"Mom!!!" We said in sync.
"Okay, we need to get out of here" I said.
"Where are going to go??" Louis asked.
"In the forest!! Anywhere from here, this District, this hell hold" I answered.
"Okay, let's go!!" He said.
"Wait, Roxy!!! Is still inside the house!!!" Pepsi screamed.
"It's to late for her!! We have to go!!" I explained.
"I'm not leaving without her!!" She said pushing us out of the way.

All you can see is people running into the forest trying to out run the fire. Pepsi breaks down the door and jumps right into the fire. There are died bodies everywhere. Women, children, and men. All died.

"Pespi let's go!!!" Louis screamed.
"We are going to have to leave if she doesn't come out there soon" I said.
Pepsi let's go!!!" Louis screams louder.

Nothing. You hear nothing... Just the sound of burning wood falling into pieces of ash. I start to make my way out of the District when I hear...

"Cough* Cough* Cough*" Pepsi said shivering.
"Pespi!!!" Louis screamed.
"I found her!! She was cornered up against the wall. It's okay Roxy I got you, your safe now" She explained.
"Okay let's move!!" I replied.

As we leave I can see all of my District burning to the ground where it started from. Everything I own I touched gone. Gone forever. My history lost to a phoenix bird rising up and distorting everything in its way. We exit out a whole inside of one of the side gates and make our way out listening to the smooth sound of wood burning.

"Where to now??" Louis said.
"I don't know" I answered.
