I walked into the room that we kept Serena in. Why did he have to do this? Why did he have to ruin everything and grab some random chick?
I sighed as I unlocked the door. I got on my knees and start to work on the knot, when I finally got it her limbs fell down and twitched. I started rubbing in between her shoulder blades, but she got up. She was probably in some degree of pain. Her eyes avoided mine.
"You must be starving" I said.
She shook her head... No?
She hasn't eaten in what three? Two? Days.
"Are you okay?" I asked. Noting her silence.
"I'm fine" She said still avoiding my eyes.
"I know you're hungry, come downstairs and I'll get you food-" I started.
"I'm not hungry" She repeated.
I sighed, what does she think I'm going to try to kill her with a fucking bagel?
"Fine. Don't eat, I don't care. But you have to come downstairs" I said.
"I want to go home" She said looking down, "I have to go home".
I rubbed my temples, she's like a broken record.
"Come on" I snapped getting up.
She gave me the strangest look, her eyes locked onto mine only for a moment looked questioning and surprised. But she got up.
I noticed she had red marks from the ropes, I felt kind of bad for being so rough with her. I pointed her to a seat in the kitchen, then I stepped out to the doorway.
Adam had all of his stuff packed in bags. "So I left some instructions on how everything works, but if you have problems just call me" He said, when he finished he looked behind me then back at me. I looked behind me, Serena was standing behind me in the doorway. She looked away when we both looked.
"Sounds good," I said slowly turning back to him. "Who's driving you?" I asked.
"Blake, then, he's taking the car to his girlfriends before he comes back" he said. I nodded.
When I turned back to the kitchen Serena was back in her seat.
"Call us if you hear anything, no matter how small" I urged.
"Got it" he laughed lightly.
After Blake helped him get his stuff out the door I turned back to the kitchen. Serena was looking down at her lap.
"What are you thinking?" I asked grabbing two cups. Filling them with ice. The house was warm from the summer heat.
