To say it was awkward between Louis and Harry was an understatement...Harry was avoiding Louis as much as possible and Louis had no idea why....
Harry had been leaving class as soon as possible so he didn't have to walk with Louis, by now Harry already knew his schedule.
Harry had even stopped talking to Louis.
Whenever Louis would say something to Harry, he would just reply with a "yeah" "no" "sure" "ok" "great" "fine" or "alright" and just end the conversation.
Louis was quite upset since he didn't know why Harry was acting this way. Louis just wanted to hang out with the other boy but he couldn't since Harry was avoiding him.
After a week of the slow torture Louis decided to talk to Harry
•
"Harry!!" Louis called running after the curly haired boy who had practically sprinted out the classroom.
Harry stopped and turned around with an unreadable face.
"What?" He asked shortly and emotionlessly
"Oh-uh it's just-you-uh..." Louis stuttered since he didn't know what to say.
"What do you want?" Harry asked with an exasperated tone and a partially annoyed face.
"Oh uh....I'm sorry. For whatever I did that is making you mad at me, I'm sorry. I don't know what I did but it would be great if you could please tell me...? I really don't like this. I liked being friends with you...." Louis said unsure of what to say since he had no idea why Harry was even avoiding him.
Harry just blinked and turned around without saying anything and walked away. He then raised his hand up and waved goodbye to Louis without turning around.
Louis just stood speechless. He had a sad and hurt face and his eyes started watering. His arms hung limply by his side. He didn't know why Harry was treating him this way.
Louis had gotten with Ashton so he would leave him and Harry alone and now Harry is ignoring him as if he were a nuisance.
Louis felt hurt and abandoned since him and Harry had gotten so close. He then shakily wobbled to the bathroom and went into the biggest stall.
He leant against the wall and then slid down staring to sob. He didn't care if the floor was probably covered in every kind of disease known to man, he was upset.
His shoulders shook as he wailed and cried into his hands. He pulled his knees up to his chest and his skirt fell back so if you were in front of him you'd probably see his panties but he didn't care.
He was this upset because he had trusted Harry. Harry knew his secret and was kind about it. He didn't judge Louis and he was practically one of Louis's best friends. They were perfect.
But now he left Louis hurt and confused not knowing what he did wrong.
The bell rang signaling class had started and Louis was late. He threw his head back into the wall and groaned, his voice sounded scratchy from his crying.
He sat there for about 15 minutes just staring at the wall with red eyes not knowing what to do. He tried to confront Harry, granted he didn't do a very good job, but it didn't fix anything.
His eyes widened once he realized that he'd get in trouble for being late. Of course he would it's just he was too caught up on Harry it didn't phase him.
All Louis could think about was his reputation.
Good Louis is never late to class.
Good Louis is a good student.
Good Louis's priority is school.
He rushed up and ran out the stall but halted once he saw his appearance. When he looked in the mirror he looked like someone he didn't want to look like.
Louis's hair was crazily thrown around. His eyes were red and glossy. His lips were red from biting it and his clothes were all wrinkled.
He didn't like good, he looked heartbroken.
Louis realized something he didn't want to acknowledge. Harry was perfect. Even after everything that happened, Louis still thought Harry was kind and caring. He was generous and wasn't a complete jerk like most people their age.
Louis liked Harry.
Shit.
His reputation was now the least of his worries...
