"Good morning!" I heard Joey yell from the hallway. I got up from my vanity after putting on the last of my mascara.
Joey and Brad had moved back in with Alec their older brother after a long discussion which I was no part of so I had no idea what they agreed on. But I didn't push Brad for details. Joey and Brad hang around my place often, they treat it like their home and I wouldn't want it any other way. Hence why Joey was in my house right now.
I opened my door only to be pulled into one of Joeys signature hugs. "Hey little brother." I always liked to tease Joey about his young age because he was always hitting on me. He frowned and scuffed up my hair with the palm of his hand. "Where's your brother?" I asked as I fixed my hair.
"What? I'm not enough for you?" Gasped Joey.
"Never will be." I stuck my tongue out at him. "But seriously?"
"He's out with Teddy and a couple other friends." I nodded. "He wanted to come get you but I insisted that I pick you up." His smile told me that he was proud of himself.
"Oh? Okay, I just have to let Trouble outside for a minute then we can go." I smiled to myself because Brad wanted me to meet more of his friends.
"Oka- wait your gonna change right?"
"What's wrong with this?" I was wearing cutoffs and a loose white shirt.
"We'll it doesn't really flatter your figure. You know like the hourglass thing you have going on." I stared at him unsure what to say.
"Urm.." After running his hand through his hair he grabbed my hand and pulled me back into my room.
"I'll help."
Me and Joey dug through my closet to find different things for me to try on. After 20 minutes of trying on clothes we settled on light peach shorts, a tight grey tank top and cute little grey pumps. I was against wearing high heels but Joey said it would be fine for where we were going. My hair was its natural straight and finally Joey approved.
We had been on the road for about 30 minutes tell we pulled up to a house with multiple cars lined up outside of it. "Is this a party?"
"Yes but it's a going away party for Brads friend Ricky he's going to collage next week." Joey explained.
"But graduations not for another 3 months."
"He graduated 2 years ago and he's going to school in Australia." I nodded understanding. "Well lets go." He didn't come around to open the door for me like Brad usually would but I kept quiet about it. It wasn't a big deal it just made me think.
The door opened before we had a chance to knock. "I've been waiting for you guys to get here!" A shorter boy with light brown curly hair said looking at both of us. He stuck his hand out towards me. "Hi there I'm Nick! And you must be Alice!" I nodded and he continued. "I've heard to much about you, way way to much!"
"Sorry?" I asked confused.
"Brad and Joey nonstop!" He made talking signs with his hands and Joey hit his shoulder. "Mostly Brad, but Joey too. I feel like I practically know you." I smirked.
"Good to know."
"Well come on in! Don't be shy." I walked in after Joey and past Nick. They led me to the main room where a bunch of boys were drinking beer and eating pizza. There was loud music coming from large speakers set up near a TV. I could see Brad talking to a couple of guys that I didn't know and Teddy. The three of us approached the group.
"Here she is Brad safe and sound." Brads attention turned to us. He smiled at me as I stood in a room full of boys that I didn't know.
Brad grabbed my hand and pulled me to his side. I still wasn't as tall as him even with the heels. "Boys this is Alice the one I told you about." I smiled awkwardly. "Alice this is, Ricky and Kurt and Nick." Ricky's dark hair fell in front of his eyes well Kurt's blonde hair was pushed up out if his.
