Alrighty then! Basically im writing over the almost finsished chapter that got deleted -_-
I know it's been a very long while but finally I said "fuck it!" My wattpad app still isn't working so I'm doing it old school! Really sorry :(
Currently it was 3:30 a.m Brad had just left to pick up Joey and me and Teddy were waiting at my house. Well Teddy was sleeping, I don't blame him I mean talk about an early morning. I couldn't sleep though. I sat quietly on the couch with little trouble cuddled up to me keeping my feet warm and my nerves calmer. I scratched his back and trouble turned his head to the side and licked his lips. His left ear flopped over making him look completely adorable. Brad was right, this little pup did make me feel safe when he wasn't here to watch out for me.
I was so worried about Brad and Joey, I haven't even met Joey and I fear for his life. I prayed to god that my plan would work. If it didn't all the blame would be on me, and I don't know if I could take that kind of pressure. I mean its not like anyone had a better idea. Actually there were no other ideas at all. That didn't help with my nerves at all. I kept murmuring prayers to myself well sipping on the leftover coffee that I brued for Brad. It was going to be a long day, I could tell.
Once it got to be around 4:30 I woke Teddy up, we would have to leave and explain to the police soon. It's was all part of the plan. Before Brad left he told me to watch out for anything odd. I was confused my this but he kept repeating it over and over making sure that it would stick in my brain. I did the same thing to him only I was telling him to be safe. My hands were shaking and it wasn't from the coffee.
Teddy wrapped his arm around me and kept telling everything was going to be okay. I stood up straighter and put my game face on. I can do this. We can do this.
Well we walked outside towards the car a man popped up from the other side like he was crouched down before. He must have dropped something I convincted myself even though I got a sick feeling in my stomach. We hopped in the car and headed out of town to the police station.
We were driving for about thirty minutes when Teddy rolled right through a stop sign. "Teddy, what are you doing? We're not late."
He looked over at me for a split second his eyes glazed with fear. "It the brakes Alice, we got no brakes." He looked like he was ready to cry. My mind automatically thought back to the man who was near the car. No..
"What? What do we do Teddy." Few tears dripped down my cheeks and I kept my voice stern but you could easily hear the shake in it.
"Well we have two options, try to drive tell we're out of gas but that would take hours, or we crash."
"Teddy.." I cried. Then punched the dashboard with frustration. "Fuck! Fuck fuck fuck!"
"Alice get in the back seat behind me and buckle up." Instead of asking questions like I usually would I did what I was told. "Okay Alice I'm gonna try to make most if the i packed on the passenger side so we don't get hurt. Hold on ok. Try to make yourself small." I nodded looking him in the eye thought the mirror. Teddy looked away and steered towards the ditch.
There were no power poles around this part so we didn't have to worry about that. I closed my eyes as Teddy started entering the ditch. I heard him whisper "this is it." The felt a huge impacted.
*.*.*.
(Brads POV)
Me and Joey sipped on the overly strong coffee Alice had made us for the long ride. Joey hadn't said anything since I picked him up from that shack that he was staying in with his friends. I wanted to scream at him for being so stupid and tell him all the mistakes he's made. But I wasn't Alec, I was the brother that would sneak ice cream up to his room when he got grounded and take him out with my friends because Alec never would. I had to be that guy right now because if I wasn't I feared that I would push him over the edge.
