I shook my head and laughed at out stupid but funny they were. I guess I did make two new friends. I guess that's the wonders of a late night taxi cab ride.

I climbed up the steps with a giddy smile on my face, and couldn't help but keep widening it. No matter how how I tried, I couldn't wash the smile away.

I was about to grip my handle, when I forgot that I locked it. I walked over to the front porch pole that was holding the roof over the porch up, and scanned across the wood looking for the small hole that was halfway cut through. It was hard to find it in the pitch black light, since no lights were on except for my neighbors, and finally found it. I dug my index and thumb finger into the small slot in the wooden post, and finally found the key. I pulled it out and turned around to insert it in the key hole.

I turned he key to the right and heard a click noise signaling I had made it into my house. I removed the key and placed it back were I had once put it.

As I entered my house, I shut the door and immediently put my hand on the wall to the left. I moved my hand around trying to find the light switch since all the lights were off and I couldn't see anything for crap. I found the switch and flipped it. My living room immediently lit up.

I suddenly felt the tiredness that I had stored away earlier. Since I was too lazy to walk up the stairs to my room, I just strolled over to my couch and plopped down on it. I was going to turn the Tv on, but I was too tired. I took the blanket off the back of the couch and bundled myself up in it. My house tends to get cold at night.

The last thing that was on my mind before I finally let sleep consume me, was the fact that I made two new friends today, and Josh's smile.

But I suddenly dawned on me; I never got their numbers.

*~*~*~*~*~* (Morning)

When I awoke, my eyes were extremely dry. I unpeeled the blanket from me, and put my hands up to my eyes.

Dang it... I forgot my fricking contacts.

I hurriedly rushed to the bathroom and threw open the top drawer on the right side of sink. I rummaged through and found my small bottle of solution and flung the cap open and poured it in my eyes. My eyes burning was beginning to increase, but felt relieved as soon as I added the solution to it.

I was thankful they didn't get as bad as I always feared they would. Ive heard some get their contacts dried to their eyes. I defiantly didn't want that to happen to me.

I searched for my contacts case that was in the same drawer and put it on the sink. I looked in the mirror and concentrated on peeling them out from my eyes. I placed them in their correct spots, and walked out. I rushed up the steps, what I normally do, and walked into my bedroom. I grabbed the think rimmed black classes located on the nightstand next to my bed. I placed them on my face and I could see clearly.

My glasses were basically like the "nerd" glasses, but the weren't gigantic on my face. I really like my glasses.

My vision wasn't the worst, but I was thankful that I had them. I could even go without them, if I really desired.

I checked the time on my alarm clock that was also on my nightstand. 11:27. I cursed under my breath. Why had I let Lauren pressure me into going to the party? I was going to get back at her some time for this.
