Lilly sat across from Thomas in a little Italian cafe. It was run by an Italian family who came rushing over and welcomed them with bright smiles and charm as they took there seats.
Thomas had grinned to the owner, who was a tall sleek man, dressed in a long white apron with blue jeans and a white shirt underneath. He had clapped Thomas on the back familiarly , his eyes flicking inquisitively too Lilly who stood with her head down, wringing her hands together behind Thomas.
"Ah what a lovely young girl" The owner had said in his smooth and lyrical accent.
"Don't scare the girl Pedro" Thomas had laughed, putting a hand on the small of her back he had steered her through the packed cafe towards there seats where now they sat surrounded by a cacophony of noise.
Lilly looked around the packed cafe. Wooden beech tables were littered across the small room. Paintings hung on the walls with rolling, green Italian countrysides and blue glittering lakes.
Thomas sat across from her, a menu in his hand his eyes darting from side to side as he looked over the contents. A waitress came up with long brown hair down to her waist tied up in a ponytail.
She smiled a dazzling smile and in a rich, smooth voice asked if they would like any drinks.
Thomas nodded instantly and asked for a coffee.
"They have the best coffee here. Do you want one?"
Lilly nodded.
