"I'm not sleeping in the same bedroom as you," I said to Joe while I hold a sleeping Masina in my arms.
"Stop being stubborn and just lay on the damn bed, and isn't she heavy in arms. she'll sleep in the between of us." He said.
"Fine, but I swear if I woke up and saw you touching me. I'll cut off your arm." I said, putting Masina on the bed and laying down beside her.
"See, that wasn't so hard, was it? Goodnight, my beautiful family." Joe said.
This boy a fool.
~the following day, I woke up seeing Joe's arm wrapped around my waist and Masina sleeping on his chest.
"Joe, I'm cutting your arm off, " I whispered into his ear. I watched him jump up and remove his arm and hold up Masina as a shield.
"You wouldn't hurt the man holding your daughter," he said.
"I would hurt him if he drops my daughter. " I said.
"Mama," Masina said, waking up.
"Hey, baby," I said, taking her away from Joe.
|JOE|
"Are you hungry?" Joe asked.
"Yes"
"What do you want to eat? Never mind, the only thing in the refrigerator that's good is pizza." Joe said.
"Peeza," Masina said, clapping her hands together.
"Okay, pizza it is, and after I'm taking you a bath," Joe said, grabbing the leftover pizza and placing it in the oven.
Joe placed the little girl on the couch and stared at her. He couldn't believe that he had missed out on this little girl being brought into this world. He knew he fucked up by leaving Amari without explanation. He still loves Amari, but he knows she probably won't forgive him, but he wants to win her back not only for their daughter but for the sake of his heart.
"Joe, do not feed my baby that leftover pizza for breakfast. " Amari said, walking into the living room.
"How did you know? " I asked.
"Because that's something you would do. Just call room service and order breakfast." She said.
"I should've done that in the first place," I said. I called room services and ordered breakfast.
I didn't have anything planned for the day. So I would spend my day in and watching reruns and trying to get to know my daughter. That was until I got a knock on my door, well, more like banging.
I got up and looked at the keyhole and saw my cousins standing there with Jon banging on my door. This is it; they finally have decided to kill me. Maybe I should hide and wait until they leave, but Amari is here, and her rude ass will open the door, so I think they'll know I'm here. I listened to the knocking on the door to see if they would leave until I heard the door open.
"Why are you looking at the door like that? " an Amari said from behind me.
"Daddy! " Jojo yelled, running up to me.
"No! My daddy." Masina yelled from the couch.
"It is about to go down. " Jey said.
"No need to fight," I said.
"Daddy, who are these people? " Jojo asked.
"This little girl is your baby sister Masina, and this is my friend Amari. " I said to Jojo.
"So Amari is Masina's mommy," Jojo said.
"Yes. " I said.
"Is she mean? " Jojo asked.
"No," I said.
"Do you like my daddy? " Jojo asked Amari.
"I mean, he's cool, but I'm mad at him, so not really, but you're a cutie." She said.
"Thanks, I get it from my daddy. " Jojo said.
"Joe? " Jon asked.
"What? She looks like me, so she got it from her daddy. " I said, defending myself.
"Thank God, Masina looks like me," Amari said to herself.
"Shots fired," Jey said.
"Are you trying to say I'm ugly? " I asked.
"I never said you were ugly, but you are conceited," she said, rolling her eyes.
"Roll your eyes, again. " I said, pushing her.
"Joe, take your gorilla-looking ass on before I drop kick you to Pensacola," she said.
"Don't curse around the kids. " I said.
"I was cursing at the age of three," Jon said.
"Before we continue to this conversation, Joe introduces us to your baby mama. " Jey said.
"Excuse me, I'm the mother of his second daughter, and I'm Amari leal, not his baby mama," she said.
"Damn, you like them spicy, Joe. " Jon said, chuckling.
"You damn right," I said.
