'Run run run runrunrunrun!' A fleeing thought passed through Kate's mind before being executed. She dashed across the 10 story building collapsing beneath her feet. Dust covered her brown locks, her honey eyes glowing in the dim moonlight.

'Another explosion? Why? Who?' She let those thoughts be pushed to the back of her head as she found the end of the buildings roof coming towards her faster then ever. Kate stopped, she inhaled and exhaled.

'I promised, but I have to. Sorry mom...' A purple aura surrounded her, her hazel eyes turned white, her hair slightly bounced around as she was consumed by the purple mist.

"Mommy? Why are the stars gone?"

"Ahh hahahaha, oh my. Sweetheart, the stars are never gone, they live within us when we aren't aware of them. Just, promise me one thing darling?"

"Yes yes! Anything mommy!"

"Promise me, when the stars ask if you need help, say no."

"Wh- o-oh- okay..."

"Ahh no need to sound so sad! How about a bedtime story?"

"Yea ya yeah!"

"Ahh hahahahahaha!"

'Guess I'm dead? Hmm thought you were supposed to be greeted by your loved ones err somethin'?'

Kate slowly opened her eyes, blackness was her first sight. Not as if she still could not see, but as if the room was illuminated by only the dimmest of stars. Sighing she walked and walked, finally Kate saw something in the distance, a light. Sprinting over to the light she fell straight to the ground, there was no light to be seen. Taking one more look around she spotted it, the light. She walked this time, it appeared to get closer and closer, but as soon as she would reach for it, it would dissipate into nothingness . Rumours of the woman chasing the stars are true, mostly.
