CHAPTER 8

Dragonpaw had looked threw the brambles seeing all the cats gathering at the entrance getting ready to leave she ran over to wingpaws nest nudging his back with her paws. "Wake up wingpaw its time to go!" wingpaw groaned awaking from his nap. "wa-what happened?" dragonpaw bounced towards the brambles. "its time to go to the gathering come on!" he woke up and licked his fur he and dragonpaw walked out to the entrance of the camp pushing there way through the crowed of cats making there way to the gathering space. By the time they got there all of the clans where there. Dragonpaw was happy when she walked in but her happiness soon died away as a few other cats gave her a nasty look she dipped her head. "Hey dont feel bad these cats just dont know you yet give them time." they turned around to see the clan leaders getting ready to speak blizzardstar of snowclan had spoken first. "We would like to start now i guess i would go first, prey is running ok and we have some new life in our clan well thats all thats new. who's next? Krestelstar the brightclan leader had spoken next. "well the thing about us is that we have been seeing a few rouges lately so we have to keep out more patrols so they wont come any closer. Darkstar do you want to go?" darkstar responded with a deep voice. "Sure well nothing is really new shardpaw has now been know as shardstrike and he has been looking for kits to mentor once he grows." and at last flamestar spoke. "well my apprentice dragonpaw has been training very hard and she is doing great with her battle training, also i have named a new warrior fernpaw now known as fernsong. the medicine cats have to say something about a new prophecy." brokenleaf the fireclan medicine cat spoke out. "well the thing about this prophecy is that it refers to one cat embrace what you are only that can strengthen your clan we dont know what that means but we do know that after the prophecy was given a huge shadow came over us it was even bigger that a hawk's shadow we feel that has something to do with this but im not too sure about it. Once dragonpaw heard about the shadow she knew this had something to do with fireclan.
