CHAPTER 17

"Dragonclaw it's time to go to the Frostpool!" it was time to go for Dragonclaw's leader ceremony. All the leaders of the clans had to come aswell to greet Flamestar. "OK I'm coming!" she was still a bit sad that she couldn't save her leaders life. Wingpelt walked beside his mate smiling. "Hey don't worry about it. Tonight is your night it's time for you to become leader you need to be happy because now you can make the choices in this clan and you will become a great leader to us." he bowed his head and looked up at her winking. She started to laugh and nuzzled him. "Your right and thank you for making me feel better. I love you." she purred and walked over to Brokenleaf and beckoned Wingpelt over to the entrance of the camp. "Alright let's go then!" they padded out walking to the frostpool the other three leaders had already gotten there. Krestlelstar had spoken to Dragonclaw. "Well Dragonclaw i hear your going to become leader congrats! I can't wait to watch you become leader!" she smiled looking at her while Darkstar and Blizzardstar nodded. "Yea but if you want her to become leader lets get started! Dragonclaw touch your paw to the frostpool and it will un-freeze then put your nose to it." Dragonclaw nodded and did as she said. She touched her nose to the cold lake and she soon saw a beautiful forest and walked around. She then saw two cats as the other leaders, Wingpelt and brokenleaf walked up from behind her. "He-Hello who are yo....wait i know those pelts!?" she ran to them when she recognized there fur. "MOM DAD! I missed you so much!" Mudflower nuzzled her kit's night black fur as her father walked over to her aswell. "we've both missed you sweetheart and i think someone else wants to talk with you." she soon saw a cream and white tabby who was the shortest out of all of the cats. "hi Dragonclaw I MISSED YOU!" that was Dragonclaw's little sister Sunkit. Dragonclaw walked over to the she kit and touched noses with her. "Hello Sis i missed you too." Wingpelt and Brokenleaf walked over to greet her parents Brokenleaf was the first to speak. "Your lucky to have her as a daughter shes really sweet even after all she went through with Fernsong and Flamestar.... Shes a tough girl." Shadowwing nodded. "Yep i taught her how to be strong." he looked behind the silk voiced She-cat seeing the white tom. Wingpelt looked up at Dragonclaw's father. "Wait.... Ive never see this tom before who is he?" Wingpelt answered him standing up to the tom flexing his brod muscles. "Im Wingpelt i uh im...." Brokenleaf cut him off smiling. "He's Dragonclaw's "Mate" tee hee hee." Wingpelt looked at Brokenleaf and then Shadowwing. "Yes i really love your daughter and its true were mates." The grey and black tom dipped his head. "Dont worry i respect that just take care of her." Wingpelt smiled and nodded. Dragonclaw had stopped playing with her littermate only to see a flashing red tabby pelt appear from behind the other three leaders. "F-Flamestar?! is that you?! Its great to see you again!" The other leaders ran by her side to the leader. All the leaders touched heads and noses then it was time for Dragonclaw to get her nine lives. "Now Dragonclaw it is time for you to take your right place as leader. i trust you with the lives of these cats, there lives are in your paws. Now it is time for you take my place. This young warrior will now be known as Dragonstar, take care of them they need you!" Dragonstar nodded and touched noses with him Reseaving her nine lives . "But wait dont i need a Deputy?" Flamestar pointed his tail towards Wingpelt. "Right Wingpelt sweety i want you to become deputy. So if you could step forward i will appoint you as the new Fireclan deputy!" she touched heads with him. "may all these cats and every cat of starclan light your path." the starclan cats started to fade away she ran and touched paws with Flamestar for the last time. As she woke up she felt happy to see flamestar again. "Dragonclaw uh i mean Dragonstar im happy for you and now you dont have to be sad anymore because you saw Flamestar!" Dragonclaw nodded at the brown and tan calico She-cat. "Yea thanks Brokenleaf but even if Flamestar is gone but he will always be in my heart." the cats just realized that the prophecy has been fulfilled. "Dragonstar!! The prophecy!! We figured it out! It was about you and not letting fernsong take your place and not letting her think that your weak and now that your leader the clan will be stronger!!" The black she-cats lime green eyes widened in surprise. "Wow really! I guess so then." she looked up at the stars. "Thank you for being a good leader you rest in my heart."
