Mystical flew faster through the trees. She heard wing beats behind her so she beat hers fast. Giggling the two dragonets soared easily through the tree tops. Mystical veered left. Bad idea. She crashed into something hard. Pain flooded her veins as she fell from the top, crashing through the branches below.
"Mystical!" Rainy yelled. Rainy was Mystical' s cousin, Jambu' s daughter. Rainy flew down fast. Grabbing ahold of Mystical' s front talons she was able to lower Mystical to the ground easily. She groaned and clutched her snout. A nightwing dragonet landed.
"I apologize. Please forgive me princess." The strange nightwing bowed as he apologized. Mystical rose and hid her pain. Luckily with being a hybrid she could control her color changing scales. Her emotions didn't control them, she did herself. Remaining all black with a ripple blue effect that she loved she spoke.
"Its quite alright. I should have been watching where I was going and not flying that fast." What was weird though was that Mystical couldn't read this dragonet's mind. Only her family and close friends had skyfire, but she had never seen this odd looking nightwing before.
"Excuse me princess but I must go. Again, my apologies." Before Mystical or Rainy could say anything the dragonet flew off into the forest.
Rainy turned to Mystical. "How's your snout? Are you okay?" Rainy was firing question after question at her but she didn't pay attention. All she could think about was the strange male who seemed to bring a cold wind with him wherever he went. Rainy waved her talons in her face. "Hello! Moons to Mysti! You there?" Mystical shook her face and focused on the rainwing in front of her.
"Sorry Rainy, I think I'm gonna head back. My mother is probably looking for me." Rainy pouted but didn't protest. Her scales turned a shade of blue but she recovered quickly. Mystical flew off back to her home.
