Shadowfrost ended up carrying Mystical back to her sleeping den. The two had talked for hours on end. Finally Mystical fell into a deep sleep. Her dream consisted of her and himself. They were chasing each other around just like they had done earlier. Shadow hated invading her privacy. He was able to read her mind, see her dreams and stuff like that. He had wanted to tell her but he just gained her trust back. He didn't want to lose it. He had easily lifted her on his back, for she weighed very light. He flew silently then walked to her sleeping cave. Riverstream was wide awake and pacing when he had entered. In fear of waking the others she whispered.

"Where in the moons is she!?" She whisper yelled to Shadow. Mystical tended to blend in to anything around her when she was asleep, which was why River couldn't see her. He shushed her and her snout snapped shut. A quiet snore came from his back and River seemed alarmed. He smirked. He gently slipped her off his back and onto a moss bed. She curled into the corner and became visually invisible. River stood frozen. Shadow stood there awkwardly before saying good night and walking quietly out of the cave. River's thoughts consisted of him being different then to worrying about Mystical. Shadow chuckled then shook his head. He walked Dow the dimly lit hallway until he found his sleeping cave. Since the school began the school was expanded. Now in each sleeping cave there were only three dragonets. Shadow was with a skywing named Crackle and a rainwing named Frog. Both kept to themselves but we're cordial when they met. Both knew he was a hybrid but we're kind enough not to acknowledge it. When he entered it was silent. Both asleep with no dreams he curled into his loft. Closing his eyes he tried to sleep.

He woke hours later to panicked thoughts. He rose quickly and listened in.

Leave me alone. One thought said.

I truly am sorry for you. Another said. Except he knew this voice all to well it was his father. Darkstalker. He was speaking with someone.

Keep your petty excuses to yourself. You hurt my mother! Then he understood. It was Mystical. The conversation went on for some time.

I was only trying to protect my son! His father spoke loudly and he could feel the pain from Mystical. Shadow Sat bolt up and was now focusing on listening. There was silence.

Who is he? She asked curiously. Shadow tried to speak with his father but his father was only focusing on her.

His name? Well let's just say that you know him. He spoke casually. Shadow could feel Mystical's curiosity grow.

How would I know him. She asked him cautiously. Shadow was using most of his strength to try and push his father out.

He is a hybrid. And my son. He can also read your mind. But his name is- he paused and Shadow thought he left.

Shadowfrost. With one final surge Shadowfrost blocked his father from Mystical's head. He was guilty but also mad that his father did that. He waited and listened in on Mystical.

Shadowfrost. How could you... He raced to explain. But she cut him off.

Don't. Just don't say anything. He could hear the pain from her.

I thought I could trust you.

And that was how he ended that perfect day.
