Not Who You Think

Shadowfrost' s p.o.v. (didn't see that coming did you)

I was different. He is my father. Moonwatcher and Winter adopted me. After he was defeated I was left. He was only trying to let me out. After she left him and locked him away. Now I was left with eternal life. Until I decide to die. Born over two hundred years ago, I was left watching those I loved die away, including my own mother. Then Moonwatcher came to be. Watching her silently he woke his father. Watching in the shadows he was always there. He saw how Winter and Moonwatcher fell in love, then saw the devastating time of when Moonwatcher was told she could not have a child. He felt so bad he changed his form into a dragonet. His own father was ashamed of his own son that he shunned him and didn't take him back. He kept Queen Glory alive. Barely though. Around the same time he was adopted by an Icewing and Nightwing. They raised him as their own. He never told them the truth. After seeing what his father did he never wanted anyone knowing. But this rainwing was different. He watched her grow up and protected her. When he ran into her in the forest it was because there was an assassin close. He didn't mean to hurt her. After the look she gave him he knew he was meant to protect her. He knew the rainwings were going to hurt her. He tried to get there before she hurt her wing but he was to late. He didn't want her to stay like that, so he did something he wish he hadn't. He used his powers, his soul, to heal her. That's when he knew he loved her. But then his father spoke with her, taunting her into remembering her own mother's pain. He fought against his own father until he was weakened, so he wouldn't speak with her for a while. He knew his story. He knew her story. He knew that she would find out soon. Either she would fear him, or smile and be with him. He loved her and vowed to not let his father hurt her.

He didn't like being the son of Darkstalker. He didn't like knowing that he was capable of being a monster. But he knew that if Mystical loved him too, he would carry the burden of his father everyday. He was not who you thought he was. He was the son of Darkstalker and Clearsight. His father having some icewing traits had shown in himself. He knew his father would return. And he was ready to kill him if he hurt Mystical.

He knew that if he had to, he would reveal his story to Mystical. And his adoptive parents.

A/N So I know there was some confusion in the last chapter about Shadowfrost so here is his backstory. To sum it up he was born over two hundred years ago under three moons and he was born to Darkstalker and Clearsight. Darkstalker had very little traits of icewing in him but it showed up in Shadowfrost. He was born with immortality and is capable of shifting his age. So when he saw Moonwatcher and Winter desperate for a child he took a chance and used his powers to become a dragonet. He was adopted and grew up. Protecting Mystical was his destiny. Many futures and visions had confirmed that. So when he saw her mother nearly dying he sacrificed his soul to save her. Then he did later to fix Mystical's wing. Hope that clears some stuff up!
