Hunter's pov
_______________
"You know, I have dated girls in the past before, but I always asked them out. Not the othe way around,"I said.
''Pshh I just needed an excuse, player,'' Luna said.
Ouch. I'm not that much of a player. ''Well I may have dated lots of girl, but what about you?''
''I don't date girls, stupid.'' she said.
''You know what I mean,'' I said, ''so have you dated any boys, then?''
''Umm..." Luna said with pink cheeks.
"You haven't dated anyone have you?" I asked
"Oh look, we're here!'' she said,"We should watch Kick Ass 2,"
"No, lets watch 2 Guns,'' I said.
"No"
"Yes"
"No"
"Yes"
"Come on, please?" she asked using a puppy dog face.
I couldn't say no to that. I sighed, "Fine we'll wa-"
I have that sickening feeling again. Oh no. Not here. Not now. I thought desperately.
"What the hell?" Luna exclaimed.
The next thing I knew I see her running toward an alley. What the hell was she thinking? Then I saw a dark mass... and Luna was running towards it. That idiot! I was just about to go over there and help her when another demon appeared in front of me. I froze for a second. It was a Kion demon. But that was not possible. Kion demons can't be in the Mortal World. They were one of the most dangerous and vicious demons out there and part of what made it so dangerous was that they are smart. They would always have a reason for doing something and when they want to kill or hurt someone...lets just say they don't lose. The Clave made a law that Kion demons can only go in the Mortal World when summoned by someone very powerful, not to mention the things needed to summon them which are extremely rare.
I tried to run past it to go help Luna, but the damn thing blocked me. Almost as if it were blocking me so that I wouldn't reach her. What do they want with her? I got a sick feeling in my stomach. The Kion demons serve the person that brought them to the Mortal World. Who ever this person is, what do they want with Luna?
The Kion demon lunged at me and I was able to block it before it ripped my throat out. I'm glad I decided to bring my seraph blades or else things would have gotten ugly. "Set," I whispered to the blade. I slashed and stabbed the demon repeatedly, but these demons had some tough skin and it is hard to do any real damage to it without getting close. I went in for another strike when it brought up its huge claws and raked my chest. I let out a grunt of pain and tried to keep my blade up. If I get to close it will most likely kill me and we don't want that to happen do we?
Then I heard Luna scream. I looked over in her direction. I saw the Kion demon on top of her, keeping her from doing anything. In that little tiny second I turned my head, the demon I was fighting hit me in the stomach. I gasped for air, but then it swatted me like a fly into a brickwall.
"Luna," I groaned before the darkness engulfed me.
Luna's pov
-----------------------------------
As soon as I saw that mass of darkness near the alley, I ran for it. Call me stupid but hey, I didn't want to miss all of the fun, plus I was just curious I mean what kind of thing jumps around like that near an alley? I was surprised when no one else noticed it. All I heard was 'Idiot!' which I think was from Hunter. As I got closer, the thing turned around and looked straight at me. And let me tell you, it was ugly!
It bared its teeth at me and I think it was supposed to be some sort of wicked smile, but I'm not sure. Before I was able to decide, it jumped at me and I fell backwards. I felt a sharp pain in the back of my head and it took me a second to realize the stupid thing was still on me. It looked even worse up close with its eyes a blood red color and a face that even its mother wouldn't like. I tried to find something with my hand, but all I got were a bunch of small rocks. Still I tried to hit the monster with the rocks. Of course, nothing happened but I think I just annoyed it. It held me down tightly as I tried to get it off me. Its face was inches away from mine and its breath smelled like something was rotting inside of it. In the corner of my eye I saw Hunter unconscious near a brickwall. I screamed partly because I was afraid and also because I was frustrated. I felt so defenseless and utterly hopeless. But I was also angry. I am strong and I will not let this stupid monster make me feel so small.
I gritted my teeth and spit on the monster's face. And with all of the strength I am able to muster I pushed it off me. Once I was finally on my feet again, I kicked the monster over and over again. It may have been stupid, but I was so angry and physically hurt that I didn't give a shit. I felt something inside of me burst and all of the sudden there was a glow around me. I felt like a part of me that has been missing for a while has finally been found. I saw a type of armor form around me and I felt 10x more powerful then before.
When all of the glowing light went away, I was wearing a light(and fashionable) body armor. I had a feeling I looked badass. I had no fear of this demon anymore. I looked over and saw Hunter again. He was still unconscious, but e seemed to be breathing regular so I knew he was okay. I saw this knife that had a whitish-bluish glow to it still in Hunter's hand. The monster that attacked him probably bolted.
It seemed like the only weapon I could use around here so I ran over to Hunter, my eyes still on the monster, and carefully took it out of his hands. I cautiously made my way over to the monster. It was barely getting back up on its feet, so I guess I kicked it pretty hard (hehe). I wanted to get behind it quietly so that I had the element of surprise by my side. The blade felt odd in my hand, new and foreign, but I drove the blade into the monster's back with all of my might. It gave a horrible loud screech before it turned to me. It looked pissed. It brought up its huge claws and tried to stab me with them. Tried is the key word there. The second its claws were on my body armor, steam arose from its hand. My suit burned it. It howled in pain and stumbled backwards.
'This is my chance,' I thought. I drove the blade into the monster two, three, four times before it bursted into a shower of a really weird type of blood. I felt like I was going to collapse. Then all at once the body armor disappeared in that same weird glow around me. The rest of my strength along with it.
The last thing I remember was a bunch of teenagers wearing black coming towards us.
"Jace, wait! What do you mean you heard-"
"I don't know, Alec. I thought I heard something here," the guy named Jace said to a boy that must be Alec.
They were too busy bickering that they haven't seen us yet.
A girl with fiery red hair finally saw me and Hunter. Her eyes widened, "Oh my god," she said.
Jace looked at us and rushed over to us. "What the hell did Hunter do now?" he said with a sigh.
"What about her?" the girl with red hair asked. Jace walked over to me.
"We have to take her to the Institute," Jace said, "she has some pretty bad injuries. Something mundane doctor can't fix."
"Can't we just leave her here or something? Some will find her." Alec said. "Stop being so rude she can near you, you know. She is still conscious." Jace said.
"What?!" Alec exclaimed.
"Come on help me carry her," said Jace. After that I finally tumbled into darkness.
