Hunter's POV
-----------------------------
"Hunter! Hunter!" Someone is calling me. "Come on, Hunter wake up." A girl. A girl is calling for me to wake up.
My eyes snapped open as I gasped and tried to sit up, but there was a sharp pain in my back, like someone had run me through with a poker. I bit my lip to stop from crying out in pain. I laid back down and shut my eyes until the pain settled enough for me to open my eyes. "Hunter," the girl sighed, obviously relived. I turned my head slightly to look at the girl.
"Luna," I croaked. " Hey, Red," she said softly. "Your not going to stop calling me 'Red' are you?" I asked her.
"What do you think, Red?"
I grinned. All of the sudden I was in a coughing fit. It felt like I was coughing up a lung. Luna handed me a glass of water and I took it gratefully. Her long silver hair was down and she was wearing the same clothes she wore when we were attacked. Her shirt was splattered with blood, whether it was hers or not I didn't know. Her pants were dirty and torn. Her eyes were wide with worry and fear. Once the coughing stopped, I was able to think clearly. I looked around the room we were in. I was lying on a linen-sheeted bed, one of a long row of similar beds with metal headboards. When I looked up I saw the arched wooden ceiling that was painted with a rococo motif of clouds and cherubs. The infirmary, I thought with a sigh.
I looked up at Luna again. "You okay?" I asked her. I immediately wished I hadn't asked her. Of course she's not okay. We just got attacked and I can't imagine the things that are running through her head right now.
She looked at me steadily. "Fine," she said crisply. "Though I'm not sure why you're worried about me in the state your in right now, Red," she said in a lighter tone.
All of the sudden the doors open and in walks Isabelle Lightwood. Luna stood up from a chair she was sitting in beside my bed. "Huh, so your finally awake," she says to me. "Yup and ready to get out of here," I respond. She smirked. "You never liked being taken cared for do you?" she stated more than asked. I looked over at Luna. I could see that she's trying to pull a boring-like expression, but you can still see her uncertainty as she looked at Isabelle.
"Uh Isabelle this is--"
"Luna Delia," Isabelle finished. She looked over Luna, her expression a bit troubled. How did she know Luna's name? I've only just meet her earlier! But more importantly, why is Isabelle looking at her like that?
"Pleasure to finally meet you Luna," Isabelle said as she held up her hand to shake Luna's. "I'm Isabelle Lightwood. Welcome to the Institute."
Luna's Pov
-----------------------------
I woke up expecting to feel my soft, warm bed beneath me, but was met by cold, hard bars digging into my back. Then the pain came. I groaned in protest and tried to remember what happened. Hunter and I. We were going to the movies. Until I saw something near the ally. I ran towards it. I smirked, thinking of what Adelle would have said. 'Curiosity killed the cat' she would have said, but I think 'satisfaction brought it back'. Anyways, I went into the ally and...omg. What the flying blue cheddar. A...a monster came at me, mind you it was an UGLY monster. Then it jumped on me. Something else happen, but I couldn't remember. No. No, it must have been a dream. It couldn't possible be real. Wait... THIS ISN'T MY HOUSE. I DON'T SMELL PANCAKES THAT ADELLE MAKES. I WANTED PANCAKES! (T^T)
God.
The pain came more intensely as I tried to move. Then I noticed my dirty and teared clothes. So it did happen, I thought miserably. I looked around the room I was in. It look like I was in some sort of infirmary, with rows of beds like the one I'm in.As I was looking around I saw someone else in one of the beds. Hunter, I thought. I sit up quickly. My body screams in pain, but I have to go to Hunter. What if he was badly hurt.
I walk to his bedside, ignoring the pain. There was a chair next to his bed, so I sat down. I waited for him to wake up. What else can I do? I don't know where I am and I'm not exactly feeling up to exploring at the moment.
I looked at Hunter. He was pretty banged up. He looked paler than he had before and bruises covered his face and around his arms, which were resting limply at his sides. What if he doesn't wake up? What if he's permanently damaged? Why do you care? part of me thought. You've just met him!
I didn't know why I cared. There was something about him that attracts me to him.
No. I don't like him. I can't care about him. Caring about too many people is dangerous, it's a weakness that can be used against you.
Well I'm bored and worried, so I'll try to wake up Hunter. "Hunter," I poke he's face.
"Hunter!" *poke*
"Hunter!" *poke*
"Hunter!" *poke*
Why won't he wake up?"Come on, Hunter wake up."
Suddenly, he snapped his eyes open and tried to sit up. Obviously in pain, he bit his lip and lied back down on the bed. After awhile he opened his eyes."Hunter" I sighed not bothering to hide the relief in my voice. I'm glad he's ok. He turned to look at me. "Luna" he croaked out. "Hey, Red." I said softly.
"Your not going to stop calling me 'Red' are you?" Hunter asked.
"What do you think, Red?" I replied.
He grinned at my answer. All of the sudden he was in a coughing fit. I handed him a glass of water. Once the coughing subsided, he looked around the infirmary. The way he looked at it almost resentful, as if he knew this place. He sighed and turn to me. "You Ok?" he asked me.
I looked at him steadily. "Fine," I said crisply. "Though I'm not sure why you're worried about me in the state your in right now, Red," I said in a lighter tone.
Suddenly the doors opened, which I might say scared the strawberry poptarts out of me. A girl came into the infirmary. I stood up. She was kind of intimidating. "Huh, so you're finally awake," the girl says to Hunter. She appeared to be ignoring me. "Yup and ready to get out of here," he responded. Hmmm I wonder why he doesn't like being here.
The girl smirked. " You never liked being taken cared for do you?" she said. Though her tone suggested that it was a fact, not question. To hide my uncertainty, I tried to pull a boring-like expression.
"Uh Isabelle this is--" Hunter started.
"Luna Delia," the girl finished for him. How did she know my name? I've never met her...have I?
"Pleasure to finally meet you Luna," Isabelle said as she held up her hand to shake mine. "I'm Isabelle Lightwood. Welcome to the Institute,"
Wait what? What Is going on. I miss Adelle and her pancakes T^T. Adelle find me!! I want to go home. I screamed mentally.
