She threw a shaky hand over her chest, trying her hardest to control her wild heartbeat. She wasn't sure why she was so nervous. It wasn't as if this was her first time doing something as dangerous as this. Maybe it was because she had no idea where she was, or how long she had really been there. Maybe it was because of what he did to her.

***Flashback

Hinata laid still as she heard the tumblers turning. Closing her eyes, she took a deep breath and fully relaxed her body.

This was her only way out. The only thing she could come up with. The only chance she had.

She had to make it count.

"Hyuuga, here's your m—oh shit!" A sudden crash was heard followed my rushed footsteps.

"Please, don't be dead. Please, don't be dead. Sasuke will kill me." Two cold fingers could be felt against her neck. Hinata had to refrain herself from shivering. Unfortunately however, she could not mask her heartbeat.

"What the–"

Before the fingers could leave her neck, Hinata quickly grabbed their owner's wrist and twisted it behind their back in one swift motion.

"Hey!" The intruder was quickly silenced as a blade was pressed against their neck.

"Karin, was it? Unfortunately, I don't have any time for small talk."

The woman growled the best she could against the small knife. "What the hell do you want?"

"Really?" Hinata pretended to think about the question before answering with, "What the hell do you think I want?"

Karin let out a dry laugh. "Kiss my ass."

Hinata let out a quick laugh of her own before ramming the redhead's body into the concrete wall. Tossing her blade to the side, Hinata twisted Karin's arm further into her back until the woman let out a cry of pain.

"Didn't I just tell you that I didn't have time for small talk?"

"You crazy bitch!"

"Yeah, yeah. Tell me something I don't know." Hinata rolled her lavender eyes. She honestly didn't have time for this. She had no idea where Sasuke was, or if he had any other annoying friends. For all she knew, they were all on their way to get her right then.

Rolling her shoulders back, Hinata leaned closer to the woman until she was a breath away. "What did that damned Uchiha do to me? Why can't I see?" She hissed.

Hinata glared as the woman in her grasp began to shake with laughter. "So I guess you found out? Sasuke knew you'd be dumb enough to try and escape, so he fucked with your Byakugan."

Hinata's eyes widened in shock. Was that even possible?

A chill ran down her spine as she thought about it. All the times he'd been in her mind, just messing with her. How she woke up feeling weaker every time. She remembered when she first attempted her Byakugan. It was during her planning that she wanted to scope out the hideout. However, as soon as she'd activated it, it felt as though someone banged her head against a boulder. Her head ached at the mere thought.

Hinata was soon awakened from her thoughts when she felt Karin squirming beneath her. She was surprised to say the least. To think, she'd been held captive without food for however many days, yet she was still stronger than her captor.

Must be the adrenaline.

Shrugging, Hinata continued to twist Karin's wrist until she heard it pop. A twisted grin spread across her face as the girl let out a blood curdling scream. "I've been wanting to do that to Sasuke, but you're close enough I suppose."

Grabbing the rusted chains from the floor, Hinata quickly wrapped them around Karin's wrists.

"You're not going to get far. He'll be able to sense your chakra," Karin spat.

Hinata held a knowing smile on her face as she grabbed the set of keys dangling from the redhead's waist. Lavender eyes winked at the woman. "Tell him that I'll be waiting."

***Flashback Over

Hinata clutched her skull as she replayed the events that happened not too long ago. Playing with my thoughts like that... Bringing up old memories... Making me feel...

The girl gripped her biceps and shuddered uncontrollably. The fact that the Uchiha had the power to roam freely within her mind and steal something so precious to her made Hinata's head spin. She couldn't imagine what he would do if he could actually grasp it.

I can't bear to see them fall. Not again.

Inhaling deeply, Hinata calmed her nerves for what felt like the hundredth time that day. She couldn't afford to let her hatred for the Uchiha blind her. She was an elite ninja. An Anbu. She wasn't supposed to feel. Emotions were unnecessary as they only managed to get in the way of the mission. And her current mission was to get the hell out.

Her eyes traveled down to her beloved katana. She'd discovered the blade as she made her way throughout the hideout. As a matter of fact, she made several discoveries in what felt like such little time.

This particular hideout was fairly small, and Karin was the only one there aside from herself. Because of this, Hinata presumed that the others were away on some type of mission or something of the sort. She didn't really care at that point.

Her pearly orbs gazed out into the night sky. Everything was still. The only thing that seemed to be alive was the full moon above.

"Nice try, Uchiha. But it's going to take much more than messing with my head to keep me locked up in this hell hole." Placing her katana on her back, she took off into the brisk night.

Ahhh ...

So she's finally free and Sasuke's nowhere in sight. Seems too easy. Maybe it is.
