During the first few clashes of their swords, Hinata came to a sudden realization that if she did not get away as soon as she could, their fight would not end well on her part. Her body was extremely fatigued from the lack of nourishment and her mind felt a lot like mush. She could hardly keep up with the quickness of his blade due to the loud pounding in her skull. He'd messed with her head good, and she despised him deeply for that.

Grabbing her side, she clenched her teeth in pain. Her eyes looked to a large gash that traveled from her ribcage down to her navel, a crimson red staining her porcelain skin. Her reaction time had been way off and she'd fallen victim to Sasuke's katana as a result.

Her eyes closed briefly as she remembered the feel of his blade burning into her flesh. The warmth of her blood mixed with the cold of the rain, creating an odd feel. She shivered.

Hinata clutched her side harder, attempting to stop the bleeding. "I suppose I should have taken Lady Tsunade up on that offer," She chuckled dryly.

She stood quietly as the rain pelted her body. As they fought, she realized one thing and on thing only: Sasuke Uchiha was taking her with him no matter what. It didn't matter if she were dead or alive, he could get the information he wanted either way.

So, Hinata did the only thing she could do. She ran. And, somehow, she was able to escape his reach. Part of her believed that he'd let his guard down, and instead of her striking, she took off.

However...

The cold rain pierced her face like a million tiny daggers. With her eyes still closed, Hinata allowed her hand to tighten over her katana. She was a sitting duck, and he was just waiting for the perfect time to strike. She'd been standing in front of the bridge for a while, wondering. Where was the Uchiha? Why hadn't he caught up to her already? Was it that she just couldn't sense his presence like before?

Shaking her head, Hinata stared at the rotting bridge before her. It looked as if it could snap at any minute, but seeing as though swimming across the river was practically a death wish, her only option was to risk taking the bridge. However, her feet felt as though they were glued to the ground. She couldn't bring herself to move. She'd froze yet again, but this time for a different reason.

Why hadn't he come out yet? What is he waiting for?

Her hand tightened over her katana until her knuckled turned a ghostly white. She was tired of waiting. "Damn him, I'm going," She whispered to herself harshly as she pushed past a few trees and bushes, not daring to look back. She simply ran until she felt her feet hit the rotting wood of the bridge.

Her feet came to a halt as they hit the middle of the bridge. She was a fool for stopping, but she had other concerns. "Where the hell are you? Come out, stop this childish game of hide and seek!"

Just as the words escaped her lips, the Uchiha appeared before her. Taking a defensive step back, Hinata readied herself for part two of their battle.

"Enough," He grunted. Hinata didn't respond. Instead, she moved to attack.

Her blade was a breath away from Sasuke's face before he grabbed her wrist, causing her to drop her weapon. His grip tightened as he glared down on her. "Watch it. I'm sure that you don't want two broken wrists."

Hinata struggled, but to no avail. She let out a tired groan before returning his hard stare. "You think that it'll all be that easy, huh?"
