Coast
Crystal cut clusters of amethyst waves.
Puppies chasing sea-gulls across puddle painted sands.
Fascinated children investigating rock pool caves
with eager eyes and querulous hands ...

Country
Washes of grey cloud
chase one another
along a blue sky, taught,
above the black branches
clinging together
in shivering comfort ...

Nightspan
Bestowing a last embrace on the mullein spires
the evening sun smiles, and then expires
into mourning purples and tribute flower pinks
thence into her own darkness, voluntarily sinks
taking all souls from the centre of the flowers
holding them hostage the night-span hours ...

Storm
Like waves on the foreshore, she batters the land,
whipping the leaves, like the foam does the sand.
Beating the window bared to her way,
battering the door keeping her at bay,
in wave after wave she drenches and flays;
re-drawing her breath in semi-silent gaze ...

Rock Face
Rock Face, scared by clawing rain
wet with passions tears ore-filling the clouded cup,
scrubbed in pumice winds and smoothed again,
it's lichen cheeks courting coy sun, feteing gentle breeze
and all around, amongst it's siblings
shared mossy coverlets secrete the bulk of form
ageless merging through birth-pang quibblings
buttressing one another's need in cemented time.
