Hey, stranger, I want you to catch me like a cold.
You and god both got the guns, when you shoot I think I'd duck.
I listened to these lyrics closely as i got off my bus and headed to my first class. In my hand, i held a muffin and a tumblr full of water. I stumbled up the hill and once i was up on the top of the grassy hill, i could see the amazing college i had attended for a year now. I sighed, remembering i needed to head to class.
I led the revolution in my bedroom and I set all the zippers free.
We said, "No more war, no more clothes!
Give me peace.
Oh kiss me!"
I walked to the class and sat down in my chair that i always sat in. I kept my earbuds in as i really didn't care for english and pulled out the book i was reading called The Lake House.
"Enjoying your book?" My professor asked with a rude tone.
"Huh??? Oh, uh, y-yeah..." I reply with a guilty 'uh oh' look on my face. 'I really don't like being the center of attention, gah so embarrassing!' I thought to myself. I looked over to see some people looking at me funnily as if i was crazy, and i dropped my book.
"Sorry Sir, it won't happen again." 'Yeah right.' I thought.
You'll dance to anything!
You'll dance to anything!
Blared out suddenly and I quickly tried to shut it off as I blushed, embarrassedly. But my professor didn't seem to mind the music as much as he did when i was reading thankfully. 'Go figure.'
I was somewhat paying attention to the lesson when i started to survey the room. I didn't know anyone in this class, so all the faces just went by in a blur. I saw a nerdy kid at the front, watching the professor's every move. 'I should learn my professors' names...'
I looked at the next kid, who was a red headed girl, chomping on gum. Behind her was a blonde whose eyes were glued to the desk. He looked back to catch my eyes. His icy eyes stared into mine for a split second before i looked away, breathless.
Fix me, or conflict me.
I'll take anything.
Fix me, or just conflict me.
Cause I'll take anything.
"Hey whatcha listenin' too?" I heard someone say. I looked up to see the blonde. He then tapped my shoulder.
"Huh? Who? Me?" I asked, confused as to why he was talking to me.
"Well, yeah? I think, I mean, I, yeah." He rambled. I giggled at how cute it was and smiled. "But yeah, whatcha listenin' too?" The blonde asked me once more.
"Hurricane by Panic! At the Disco," I replied looking at his seat which he was not in. "And you might want to go sit back down so you don't get in trouble." I pointed out.
He laughs and replied, "Class just ended..."
"Oh. Haha, my bad well, uh, thanks for letting me know."
"No problem. I'm Luke by the way."
"I'm Lyra," I replied as I gathered up the few things I had and rushed out the class, leaving Luke alone, dazed, and confused. 'Wonder what that was about.' I thought as I walked away.
You'll dance to anything!
You'll dance to anything!
