Safe Haven has always been a city with crimes, from stealing from a grocery store to full-blown murder in daylight. Mornings were active with crime every once in a while. Officers always had to keep there guard up for everything and anything. A police car was parked in front of a museum.

"Sweetie be safe," Jack said holding his wife's hand, "and don't forget to call me after you finish work."

"Jack, I'll be fine after all I'm the one who saved you from a demon when we were kids." Jill smiled.

"Yeah and you were head guard of the Hell-Royal family. "Jack kissed her hand.

Jack kissed her goodbye, Jill was wearing a powder blue long sleeve shirt, dark blue pants, her badge and a bullet proof vest as well as her partner Zill who was in the car sleeping. Jill walked over to the car and turned on the siren causing him to wake up and hit his head off the ceiling.

"Ow," Zill put his hand on his head, "you could have just woken me up instead of doing that."

"Now where would the fun be in that?" Jill giggled.

Zill turned off the siren as Jill got into the driver's seat. Jill started the car and began to drive around the area of the city that they had been assigned to that morning. Zill began dosing off to sleep again which made Jill growl in frustration.

"HEY WAKE UP!" Jill slammed the brakes hard.

Zill jolted forward and hit is head again, leaving a bruise on his forehead.

"What the hell is wrong with you," Zill rubbed his forehead, "god damn it, that hurt like crazy."

"You said 'could have just woken me up' so I did." Jill answered.

"Well listen I'm sorry for sleeping, I didn't get a lot of sleep last night, thank you very much." Zill sat back in his seat.

"If it's because it's Zoe's first day of high school, then I wouldn't worry. "Jill began to drive again, "she doesn't care what people think of her or her appearance, all she cares about is what she thinks and what her friends think."

"Yeah." Zill started to laugh.

"What is so funny?" Jill was looking at him like he was crazy.

"You should have seen Taylor's when Elizabeth was heading off to school with some of her friends." Zill tried his hardest not to laugh.

"You mean where he was smiling and waving her goodbye while trying to hold back his tears" Jill guessed.

"Yep, that's the one how did you know?" Zill asked.

"Penelope sent me a picture." Jill showed him the picture.

Zill laughed at the photo. As Jill was driving she noticed a coffee shop and smiled.

"Hey you wanna get a quick bite and something strong to wake you up?" Jill said pointing to the coffee shop.

"Sure," Zill smiled,"I had to get up so early that Kayla and Zoe weren't awake and I had skipped out on breakfast as well."

Jill parked in front of the coffee shop and put fifty cents in which gave them thirty minutes. Jill locked the patrol car and they headed inside. Zill found a small table by the window and sat down. Jill had ordered herself a vanilla latte with cream, caramel and honey as well as a blueberry muffins, she ordered Zill a dark roast coffee, black with nothing in it and a blackberry muffin.

"It's not much but let's hope it'll hold ya over till we get our lunch break." Jill took a bite off her muffin.

Zill ate his muffin then started drinking his coffee.
