Ever since Zayn and Liam almost kissed, things had been different between the two. They didn't talk more and words started being replaced by edgy silence and the wispy sound of the wind. Both boys tried to make things normal again, they really did. Liam stumbled out a few knock-knock jokes which Harry would text him; the two had become a bit closer, which Louis was more than ecstatic about. Zayn would always chuckle a bit at the corny humor, maybe even add a small comment about it too. But, after that small encounter, the two would turn back towards the lively city in front of them, their legs dangling off of the ledge.

Liam found himself staring at Zayn's lips more and vice versa. But, he couldn't help it. Zayn just had these plump, pink lips that made Liam want to nibble on and leave marks of his teeth along of. The thought was weird and Liam always had to physically force himself to look away, before he did something they both would regret.

But, the questions were simply consuming his mindset. Did Zayn actually like him? If the bell hadn't rung, would the two have kissed? Would they be dating by now? Liam didn't know the answer to any of these, but he has tried to ask Zayn about them. However, whenever Liam tried asking the other about it, Zayn would simply interrupt him and immediately change the subject. Of course, Liam did notice how their limited conversation switched from their relationship to dolphins, but he let it be. Simply because he knew that Zayn would get flustered and embarrassed by any questions that Liam asked and the brunette probably wouldn't receive an actual answer anyways.

Still, Liam was aiming to bring their relationship back to normal. And to do this, he invited Zayn over to hang. He figured that maybe some Fifa could win the other boy over, though he was terrible at video games. The only reason he even owned them, was because Louis had either forgotten his games over at Liam's house or because the younger boy went through a phase, where he thought that by buying games like the other kids, could cause him to become normal too.

It didn't.

Liam began shaking his head at the thoughts; he didn't need negative reminders to ruin his gleeful attitude. He figured that if he made himself look happy, then he would end up feeling the same, as well. It wasn't working so far, but he was still waiting. So, with a permanent grin glued across his jaw, (something that was seriously frightening the people besides him), Liam walked down the corridor, his finger gripping his backpack strap tightly.

He fastened his pace once seeing a certain blonde, walking only a few feet in front of them. Once he matched his speed, he clamped Niall's shoulder with his hand, causing the other to turn towards him curiously.

"Hey Ni," Liam greeted him, while moving to stand besides his friend. Thankfully, the small tension that lingered around the two, had disappeared eventually. Liam had hugged Niall and apologized for his rude behavior, and the other had easily forgiven him.
