Weekends seemed to be specifically made for rest. It was the time when the human body was supposed to recharge its battery, that had been drained after consistent days of work and school. It was what Liam waited all week for, specifically for Friday night. For that was the time where he sat slumped in between pillows and blankets, his long, calloused finger tapping his digital alarm closed on his phone. Then, he would toss the device besides him idly, before slipping into a deep slumber with a grin etched across his jaw.

But he was striped of the chance this weekend.

See, they were assigned a project in history, which Liam and Niall immediately paired up for. Though they had done most of the work in school, Niall still insisted to come over. Where Liam was guessing he'd come over later on Saturday, the blonde urged to come earlier, considering he was busy with his family during the rest of the day.

So here Liam was, slipping out of his steamy bathroom in the midst of the morning. A towel was fixated in between his hands, as he wiped the fabric against his wet curls. He shivers a bit despite the jumper that hung upon his torso and the cotton sweats that clad his skinny legs. He was dressed quite lazily, but he didn't mind much, considering it was only Niall who was coming over. After a few months of their friendship, Liam was comfortable with him already.

He tended to do that with a lot of people. Get overly comfortable with them, which eventually led to his clinginess. Especially if he deemed that they were ignoring him in some sort of way. For then he tended to believe that he had somehow ruined their friendship, (or possible relationship), and tried to grasp the person into a firm hold, as if to constrict them from leaving. Call him crazy, but it was the only way to showcase his feelings, instead of sobbing for endless hours. Which he chose to do when he was alone, specifically in his room or his bathtub.

The blaring doorbell snapped Liam out of his trance, which consisted of him standing in front of the mirror, trying to tame the frizzy mess he called his hair. He sighed then and dropped the brush, before stepping out of his room and into the hallway. "Liam, your friend is here!" Karen shouted from below, practically cupping her hands around her mouth from how loud her projected voice sounded like.

"I know," he responded with a bitter tone. It wasn't his fault; it was 8:30 in the fricken morning and here he was awake for no damn reason. Well, there was a reason which he'd gladly like to dismiss from his mind. Honestly, who wants to do work this early? Liam wouldn't even want to do work if it was hours later, but he didn't have much of a choice. He'd rather force himself to study, than possibly damage his friendship.

Liam's long legs stumbled down the stairs, hopping off the last one and pausing besides the wooden door. His hand clasped the golden knob, twisting it open to reveal his Irish friend. He looked cute too, in a platonic matter of course. Sleepy. He was dressed in a green sweater with some sort of duck's face sewed upon it, grey sweatpants and white sneakers, which Liam would've dirtied the minute he bought them. Niall gave him a soft smile, fingers clasping around his backpack straps, "Heya Liam."
