Stay Away

"What the hell? Tell me what's up right now Styles, it's not funny." Wow, Bridg was irritated. There was something in the air that made this car ride unsettling; unlike our last surprise destination of the golf course and cute day. I felt a little nervous not knowing what to expect.

"Stop hitting me." Harry said through clenched teeth.

I looked over to see Bridg repeatedly nudging Harry's elbow. Niall refused to make eye contact with me and when I went to hold his hand, he pulled away.

"I'm getting out right now. Stop the car. Come on Hales." Bridg said, pulling my arm and reaching for the door handle.

"Are you mad?" Niall finally spoke up. "You'd die, flying out of the car door and straight onto the highway."

"Why would you care? You're not listening to a word we've said!" Bridg retorted.

"453 Walker Lane." The driver said, parking the car.

Bridg was the first to the door, jumping out quickly.

"Wait!" Harry called, pushing me aside to get out next.

"Did he just hit you?" Bridg asked, breathing heavily. She was absolutely fuming.

"Yah..I mean no.....I mean..I don't know! He just pushed me to get to you." I stuttered out. I was completely confused.

"You little no good lying son of a -" Bridg was cut of by Harry quickly pressing his lips to hers.

Muffled complaints arose from Bridg, but were ignored by Harry.

"Now, if you'd shut up and listen I could explain." Harry sighed, after pulling away.

"Spill." Bridg crossed her arms.

"Well, when Ellie told us about Joelle's dad, we kinda looked into it." Niall began unsure. He looked to Harry to help him out.

"We searched the 'other woman's name' and found she's originally from here. This is her address." Harry tugged at the hem of his shirt. They both were extremely uneasy.

"And?" I questioned, speaking up.

"And....we're going to go in and have a word." Harry flatly stated.

"About what? How she could potentially ruin one of my best friends families?" It was my turn to get angry.

"No. To see what she needs." Niall spoke.

"I don't care what she needs. She needs to find another man!" Bridg snorted.

"We think Ellie has something on her and is using her to get to you all." Harry sighed.

"Think she'll talk?" I asked, getting interested now.

"Maybe she knows something about Ellie?" Bridg asked.

"That's what we hope." Niall wickedly grinned.

Harry turned and made his way up the walkway to the front door of the house, the rest of us following along. Niall knocked and we all anxiously waited until there was a clicking sound and the door swung cautiously open.

"He-hello?" A petite, wispy of a woman appeared behind the door.

"Hi, we are from Burnsville University and we were wondering if we could come in and talk over tea?" Harry spoke up.

"Talk about what?" She warily asked.

"Please, it's very important and it'll only take a minute." Harry pleaded.

We were given her answer as she speechlessly swung the door open to let us through. She led us to a little sitting room off from the foyer and told us to have a seat. When she arrived back in the room she had four waters on a tray.

"You're not from university." She flatly stated.

"How do you know that?" Niall asked confused.

"I recognize her from the picture." The woman said, pointing straight at me.

"What?" I questioned, suddenly turning red.

"I've said too much." She quickly stated trying to stand up.

"Please sit. We know about your relation with Jake Gile." Harry cooly spoke.

With that the woman immediately tensed, standing still, and slowly returned to her seat.

"How do you know about that?"
