That Runaway Girl

Chapter 8:

I quickly turned around and saw who this human was.

I gulped

"Hey, uh ya, it's me." I stuttered and began looking around for Chase.

"Brooke who are you looking for?" He questioned and tried to grab my hand and that's when Chase decided come magically show up.

"Get your hands of my girlfriend!" He shouted and I stepped back, Luke's eyes went wide and just stared at me in disbelief

"Brooke? How could you? I thought you loved me?" He asked and stepped forward again but Chase stood in front of us.

"Don't touch her!" Chase growled and pushed Luke back, but he regained his balance and stepped forward again.

"Do you even know who I am?" Luke hissed and pushed Chase back

"Why would I care? Don't you ever lay a hand on Brooke again!" Chase seethed and slapped him square in the face.

"CHASE!" I shrieked And pushed him back, he looked at me, his eyes black and he pushed me. I stumbled back and landed on my butt. But I was in complete shock.

"Don't you ever push her!" Luke yelled and pushed Chase to the ground, and started to pound his face in.

By this point I was in tears and I didn't know what side to go on, I'm still very upset at Luke and now very shocked At Chase, he would never have done that.

"I'm her guardian, you jerk and I have the papers to prove it, now you better get your damn butt up and walk away." Luke seethed and kicked his stomach, Chase grunted then looked up at me as if to say "Sorry" but all I could do is shake my head.

"I'm sorry Chase, but we're done." I whispered but I was sure he could hear me because he nodded and walked off. Leaving me with Luke.

"Brooke, baby are you okay?" He asked then walked over to me but I shoved him away.

"I WAS TRYING TO MOVE ON!" I sobbed and I started to walk away until he grabbed me and looked me in the eyes.

"Why? Brooke, why? I still love you, and I'm so sorry for what I've did, I never wanted to ever hurt you and I was so foolish to ever do such a thing and Brooke I can tell you one thing for sure." He sighed, trying to hold back his tears but failing.

I looked him in his crystal clear blue eyes that I once loved, now were clouded with tears.

"I've never tried to move on." He stated

"I still love you and I will always love you, and nobody on the face of this earth could tell me otherwise. I just wish you would see this, I wish that I was yours again, I want to treat you better, and I promise if you take me back, I won't ever let you down." He murmured, tears still freely flowing down his cheeks,  and seeing him cry this much shows me how much he actually cares, but I can't just yet, it's to early.

"Luke, I can see how much you actually care, but I'm still very upset, and I can't come back yet, just not yet, maybe in the future." I murmured and I heard him cry harder

"Brooke no please! I still love you." He sobbed harder

I just need time to find the one, I really loved Chase even if it was only for 3 days, he showed me love, and at one time so did Luke. Now that he knows where I am, it's harder for me to hide. He's making this much harder then I wanted it to be.
