The seconds rolled in to minutes and then the minutes rolled into hours that how her silence felt to me like she was going to say no like she was planning her escape route in her mind, memorizing the way out and how she would take melody and my heart with her.
"Ms Gold, do you take this man to be your husband?" the priest repeated she smiled that breath taking smile of hers and i knew from that moment she was mine.
Mine to hold and love and cherish from that moment on. To treat like a queen, the only woman who would fully have my heart and soul and to bear my children. i loved her and i know she might not think i really do love her as yet but from this moment on i will show her how much i do.
"Yes i do" she turned and looked me in my eyes and the priest turned to ask me the same.
"And do you Enzo Nicholas Santos take this woman to be your lawfully wedded wife to have and to hold and to cherish until death do you part?" i knew i did and i knew i would never regret saying the words that came out after.
"I do." i pulled her into my arms kissing her like my life depended on it like she was the oxygen in this mad world we lived in. she was my cure and would also be my poison, my one weakness that with a single tear would be able to bring me to my knees
"I now pronounce you husband and wife, you may now well you may continue doing that" the crowd cheered and laughed but at that moment as i continued to look into her eyes it felt as if only us were in the hall with no one else.
From that moment i can tell you i didn't regret kat leaving my life to be with her now husband because if she didn't we both won't be happy and then i wouldn't be married to this beautiful lady in front of me who brought me my beautiful daughter melody. I now knew why she couldn't stay with me because she felt the love i did for my angel for some one else and for that i am grateful.
"How are you feeling Mrs Alexis Angelina Santos?" i asked watching her beautiful blushed filled face
" I am amazed, wowed and happy to be your wife, Mr Enzo Nicholas Santos, but his dress is kind of stuffy" she smiled knowingly at what was going to come after.
"Don't Mrs Santos i will be honored to be the one to rip it off you," i replied before i took her hand and lead her back down the isle to the reception area to see my beautiful daughter who i will now get the pleasure to meet while my wife goes to change out of her wedding dress into to the reception dress Natalie bought for her.
"I should warn you my husband is a very jealous many and by the way i'm going to change before i am stripped of my garments in public by the looks your giving me." and i laughed she was right i was a very jealous man she was leaving only for me to pull her back to give her one last kiss.
I walked up to my parents who seemed to be happy and excited when suddenly i am pulled by my pants by a very short small brunette girl who looked about five.
"Hey Mr i saw you kiss my mommy are you going to be my daddy now?" that is when i first met my beautiful daughter and the apple of my eyes, Mi princesa melody.
"I am and you must be melody"
