Hook's POV

I woke up in my room at Granny's, got dressed, and went for a walk.

I decided to call Swan. I was going to ask her if there was any way that we can help August. Maybe she could do use her magic. Since I wasn't here the last time this happened, I really have no idea how to deal with this and if there's any way we can help our friend.

I pulled my talking phone out of the pocket of my jacket. Since I'm still learning how to use it, I had to use the steps that Swan taught me. First, go to contacts. Second, tap the "E." Third, find "Emma." Last, hit the green call button.

It rang a couple of times before she answered.

"Hey, Hook. What's up?"

"Hey, Swan. I was wondering if I could come to the loft so we could talk about something."

"Um... Yeah. You can come tomorrow after my shift."

"Sounds good. I'll see you tomorrow then. Bye, Swan."

"Bye, Hook."

~~~~~
KNOCK. KNOCK. KNOCK.
Swan came to the door and opened it.
"Hey, Hook."
"Hello, Swan. How are you?" I asked, as I walked into the loft.
"Good, how are you?" She asked, and grabbed two mugs of, what I think is called, coffee.
"I'm okay, just a little worried about August. Which is why I'm here. I was wondering if there was anything we could do to help?" I asked, taking a sip of my coffee, a bitter liquid that I don't like, but I drink it anyway.
"Yeah, I've been trying to think of anything we could do but I... I just, I don't think so."
"What about using your magic?"
"I already told you, I don't think there's anything we can do. And besides, he needs to learn to tell the truth. No matter how bad it is, it can't be worse than lying to someone and turning into wood."
"What do think he's lying about?"
"I have no idea."
"He hasn't been acting any different around you?"
"Not that I know of."
"All right, well, thanks for talking.  I'll see you later, Swan."
"Bye, Hook. See you later. Actually, Hook, wait."
I turned around. "Yeah?"
"Why do you care so much, anyway?"
"Because you and August are the only two friends I have and I don't want anything to happen to you."
Her face softened and there was a moment where it seemed to be just the two of us off somewhere else in some peaceful place where we could be happy.
"Oh, hi, Hook! What are you doing here?" Came the perky voice of Mary Margaret about halfway down the stairs.
The moment shattered as reality set back into place. It would never be just the two of us.
"We were just having a quick discussion. I'm actually on my way out right now."
"Oh, well, OK. It's nice to see you."
"You, too. Bye, Swan," and walked out.
