Kaylin had been left alone for nearly twenty two hours before N came back. She heard his footsteps and anxiously stood. She was terrified, what was he going to do to her. She had thrown him into a wall. She wasn't aware of it, but she feels a tear fall on her hand. She was crying. She stares at the floor, her tangled hair masking her face. He comes over to her, she could only see his feet.

He moves her hair and tilts her faceup to him. He gently wipes her tears away. She stares into his dark brown eyes and feels her heart flutter. He wasn't unattractive, in fact, he was the opposite.

He had blonde hair and dark brown eyes that seemed to stare into her soul. His face was roundish, but his jawline was strong. His skin was dark.

"Don't cry Princess," he orders.

His eyes are darting around her face. She shivers and more tears fall. She hated herself for crying in front of him, but she can't help it. She slumps to the floor, still shivering. He crouches next to her. She expected him to hit her or threaten her, he always did without hesitation in the past. But he didn't.

Instead, he wraps his arms around her and pulls her to him. This causes hell to break loose. He pets her hair while she cries into his chest. She wasn't terrified. Now, there was something else. It was almost a peace, she almost laughs at the thought.

Haekyeon comforts the girl while she cries. He couldn't say he knew what she felt like, but he knew that she needed to cry. She had been alone and scared for the past three years, but as far as he knew, she hadn't cried. Not once. She'd whimpered and begged, but never cried.

She pulls away, rubbing furiously at her eyes.

"Sorry," she says, her voice cracking, "I don't know what just..."

"Princess, don't apologize," he inturupts, "It's okay."

Kaylin looked beautiful, even though her eyes were puffy. He feels something strange, he looks down at his pants and sees a buldge. No way. He looks back at her.

"N, what did you do to me? You, Leo, and that other guy. He said I was a cyborg. What does that mean?"

He sighs, "You deserve to know now that it's done."

He leans against the glass wall and begins, "Dr. Jung found you lying on the side of the road you were hit by a car. You know how he kidnapped you and such. He kidnapped you after finding out you were an orphan. He believed you deserved another chance. Dr. Lee and I agreed and I took over as your personal supervisor. Over the last three years, we've incorporated different robotics and machinery into your body.

First, we replaced your lungs. After you took the time to heal, three weeks, we scheduled the other surgeries to replace organs. Then, after long tiring work, we finished your brain and heart. The part of your brain that processes messeges from your nerves is now almost immune to pain signals. Dr. Jung and I didn't tell Dr. Lee that we decided to switch out taking your emotions; that would've been to cruel. The wiring now in your brain now also can receive messeges from the other test subjects..."

He stops ubruptly and looks up. Jaehwan was staring at them from outside the glass prison. He gestures for him to come out. He turns back to Kaylin, her eyes were still puffy, but she was staring at him, waiting for him to continue. He jerks his head slightly to the senior doctor outside the prison. Her gaze turns him and her face falls.

"Princess, what's wrong?" He asks.

"You have to go now, right?" She answers, looking back at him.

Her eyes were filled with sadness, and he hated it.

"Yes, Princess, I have to go now. But don't worry, I'll come back later."

Her eyes fill with something different; hope, he realizes. He smiles to himself and resists the urge to touch her face.

*Aish, why are you being like this?! You've never liked a girl before, now is not a good time to start.*

Jaehwan knocks on the glass impatiently. Haekyeon gets up slowly and looks at her one last time before exiting.

"Finally, what were you doing in there?"

"Telling her some of the details of the experiment that we've performed on her."

"Does she know it was illegal?"

"No."

"Does she know it was illegal?" The unfamiliar man, Dr. Lee, asks.

He looked so stern and mean, he reminded Kaylin of a bully in her old school. His name had been Ken, he was constantly picking on the younger kids on the playground. Kaylin decides that Dr. Lee's new nickname was Ken.

"No," N answers, "I haven't told her."

"Good, she does NOT need to know. Especially since..."

"She can hear us," N cuts off Ken's sentence.

"You know for sure?" He inquires.

"Yes, she jerked up when I first stepped onto the wedge leading to the door," N comfirms.

Ken rubs his hands together excitedly, "That's very good. That's better than very good, that's excellent. We must tell Taekwoon. So far, she is functional and adapting to her new found abilities."

"Stop acting like she's an object," N snaps, "She's a person, her name is Kaylin."

"Yes yes, whatever you say."

"She is," N snarls, Ken holds up his hands in defeat.

"Very well, so far KAYLIN has been a successful result, dispite you and Taekwoon not informing me of the sudden, changes, to the original plan."

"The original plan was too cruel, it would've stripped her of her identity," N defends.

"Of course," Ken scoffs, "Have you done a full examination yet?"

"No, I will do one soon," N sighs.

"You know in order to do it right she has to be wholly naked, correct?"

"Yes sir," N's answer sounded nervous, "Why did you suddenly stop me anyway?"

"Oh right," Ken's voice was excited, "Kaylin isn't the only successful experiment."

"What do you mean?" N asks, excitement in his voice as well.

"He's awake, Subject 1, also known as Lee Hongbin, is functional."
