Darkness. That's all Haekyeon could see. Contrary to what he had thought, the darkness was almost comforting. As was the cold that envelops him. It felt good, nothing like what he had felt before.

In the depths of his mind, he could see what had happened to him. How they judged Jaehwan, Taekwoon, and him guilty. No sooner than the words were out of the Chancellor's mouth were they dragged to the front if the building and hung. He can see himself choking...

In the darkness Haekyeon frowns. Through his burning eyes, he had seen Wonshik and Hongbin. Why were they there watching him die? He had told them to run... with Kaylin. He did his best to search for her, but he couldn't. Black spots had flooded his vision.

"N, wake up..." a voice echoes softly through the darkness.

"Ki-ki, there was a chance--" another voice adds.

"No, he's fine, he just needs some time..."

The voice echoes strongly and becomes a loud ringing in his ears. Rushing water is added. He can't escape it and he can't cry out in alarm as the soothing darkness fades away. The cold left too. He moans.

"N!"

The cry rings in his pounding head and he moves his hands to cover his ears.

"Sorry N..." the voice is much softer now.

He blinks his eyes open and squints at the brightness. Haekyeon focuses his vision on a girl with blonde hair leaning over him. He knows who she is.

"Kaylin?" He croaks.

She smiles and nods, "I'm here N. I'm here."

He sits up and sees Wonshik and Hongbin working on two other bodies: Taekwoon and Jaehwan.

"What happened?" He asks, holding his head.

"You were dead," Kaylin's voice breaks, "Wonshik, or Ravi as he prefers to be called, and Hongbin stole your bodies and brought them to our hiding place with a freezer. We stored you in the freezer until we 'gathered' enough equipment from the old lab to start your transition."

"Transition?"

She nods, "Some of you is not entirely completed yet..."

He stops hearing her when he sees his arm. The skin wasn't there, revealing a metal interior and colorful wires.

"What..."

"You're a cyborg now."

"I am," he looks up at her worried face, "And I'm glad. Now I get to be with you."

Bad ending I know. I want to leave their future a mystery that you my readers come up with. If I wrote the ending, it would be depressing. So yeah, choose what you want.
