Alex Let's Walk The Line

Chapter 20

Ali's POV
After Ashlyn called me I didn't understand why she needed my help, I'm in college at Penn St. signing here for college soccer. Leaving that town and breaking up with Ashlyn was heartbreaking, it hurt me for a couple of weeks, but once I got used to the campus I didn't question why I came here.

Ashlyn and I we talk on and off, she'll tell me she loves me, she'll wait for me, I think she's crazy but I love her for that. I haven't told her that I love her because I'm just scared to say it when I'm miles away. One day I hope we could get back together, but I need her to focus on herself and myself right now.

Since the text about this Lauren girl, it took me awhile to realize that this girl was on my same club team a couple of times. Let's just say I dislike her cocky ness and she thinks she can have anybody. I couldn't believe Tobin would have dated her I don't care if she was a rebound, nor treat Alex like crap after her accidents (Ashlyn told me).

Well finally it took me a couple of calls, messages and stocking social media, but I found out why Lauren is back in Cali. I text Ashlyn. "Lauren trying to win back Tobin, she doesn't know that Alex and her are back together a source told me. She will do anything to get Tobin that means taking out anyone in her way. Please make sure Alex and Tobin is safe, Ashlyn I'm counting on you to get Lauren out of the picture."

I sent and then added "Ashlyn I love you too, but focus on you and them talk to you later."

Alex's POV
I honestly nervous about this family dinner, it's nice meeting Tobin's family but her dad what happen before how can I trust him. The past is the past but you don't threaten me towards Tobin, it only helped expect for her car crash but still.

I walked in with Tobin on my side, as I saw her sisters, brother, other members of the Heath family. Then I stood looking straight at her father, I gave him a weak smile and he gave me a small wave. I leaned up to Tobin's ear and whispered "so he knows we are dating," she looked at me and laughed. She leaned down to my ear "yes babe nothing to worry about" she whispers, before moving away from to hug her mom.

Can this family actually get a long I mean her father kicked her out for being gay and when he found out it wasn't pretty. "Hey Alex nice seeing you again" I hear her sister Katie, I turned around "hey you too, how's things going?" I asked as she laughed, then turned and I saw him (Jason). "Oh" I mumbled, "Alex don't worry about it anyways you better go see my mom" she said making me laughed as I gave her a hug and walked away.

"Hey Lex come here" I hear Tobin say as I got closer I saw her mother. "Hey Tobin and nice seeing you again Cindy" I say politely. She smiled, "nice seeing you again Alex and nice seeing that Tobin finally back in your embrace," she says and making Tobin blush a little. Tobin walked off as me and her mother chit chat for awhile until I say Tobin walking back with her father.

"Excuse me sorry to bother ya but Cindy do you mind if I speak to Alex" her dad said so formal and politely. Cindy nodded and I looked at Tobin for help, but she just smiled and mumbled "it's okay."

I walked away with him and then I say Jason give me a glare, "great" I thought. Maybe this is a mistake coming here I don't know the whole story this summer, but what if he still doesn't like me. "Um Alex may I get you anything," I heard his sharp tone. I looked around seeing that I was in his office room. "Umm no thank you I'm fine" I said, as he poured himself a glass of scotch.

"So you wanted to speak with me" I said. "Oh yes, I wanted to apologize" he started and I knew he was about to say a "but", "but there is one condition" he said as I sat down and thought to myself "why a but." "I want you to sign this" he said handing me a piece of paper. "What's this?" I questioned him. "Its a paper that will not hurt my daughter from you and your boyfriend" he said in a demanded tone.

What is he talking about I haven't done anything wrong. "May I ask why do you think I will hurt your daughter?" I say cause I was getting accused of something. He chuckled a little "miss perfect you think I don't about you and you mistake, I know people especially when it comes around to you" he said.

"My mistake? What mistake? I haven't done anything wrong since I met Tobin! Thank you for the contract but I'm not signing it! I don't give a fuck if you think what's right or not! I love you daughter and she loves me so fuck off!" I yelled at him and walking out of his office slamming the door.

I stormed off so quick that I didn't pay attention where I was going until I ran into someone. "You gotta fucking kidding me!" I screamed out and saw who I ran into. "Alex babe you okay" I hear Tobin say but I just pushed her away and said "leave me alone!" I walked out the door and then I saw that's bitches face. "You can have her that's what they want right! You and Tobin! Fuck it Lauren go make her dad proud!" I yelled before I felt arms wrap me around. "Alex stop it you take back those words!" I hear Tobin yell at me and I'm just crying in her arms falling to the floor.

"Why are you here?" I hear Tobin ask Lauren. "Cause Tobin we are meant to be and it looks like you girlfriend even sees it" Lauren says. I felt Tobin arms let go of me and she was walking away towards Lauren. I hear Tobin's laugh "see the thing is Lauren what happen in the summer was called a rebound I didn't care about you at all!" Tobin yelled at her, "oh and leave please you know what since I'm assuming my dad set this up why not you see him cause I'm leaving!" Tobin said as she walked back to me and picked me. "Let's go back to your place" she says and nodded.

Tobin's POV
I don't want was happening I just heard yelling in my dads office and once I got closer Alex was running. After that she pushes me away and goes outside, I follow anyways and see she's yelling at Lauren. She said words that hurt, but she was so mad and I didn't understand why. I wrapped myself around her and then I see Lauren staring at us.

Lauren why was she here? What did my dad say to Alex? My mind is about to explode but I just wanted to punch Lauren in face or I should just let Alex do it for me. Lauren let stupid words come out of her mouth, I said things back and I really meant them. After that I pick up Alex placing her into my truck and taking her back home.

Alex isn't even looking at me, she's just looking out the window with tears. "Lex" I say soft, "baby listen I don't know what happen, can you please explain" I say as she turns to me.

"Why not you ask your dad" she mumbled.

"My dad? What he do Lex I didn't know this would happen and what ever he said I swear to you I had no idea" I tell her as I was getting close to her house.

"It's nothing just drop me off at Servando house please" she said and my eyes widen.

"Okay I guess" I say really hurt.

I got closer passed her house and now in front of Servando house, "Alex call me later please. I love you" I said as she took her seatbelt off and leaned over the console and kissed my cheek. "Okay. I love you too" she said before getting out. I watched her as I saw Serv open the door and looked confused. He waved at me and then I saw Alex falling on his chest.

It broke me I didn't understand how much this hurts. She should be with me crying not with him, what did my dad do? I know that's Alex's best guy friend, but how do I drive away from that seen. I heard my phone go off. It's from Ashlyn: "hey we need to meet asap" I read the message and replied "sure where", my phone went off again and it said "our underground spot" I looked at crazy cause we haven't been at that spot in a year. "Okay I meet you in 25" I sent the message and pulled out the drive away so I can meet with Ashlyn.

A/N: I know this sounds so bad!! Idk what happen to be honest. I feel bad kinda but I like this but unsure. Sorry for not updates sooner.
