Finally, the school bell rang. It's lunch time at last! Along with your friends, you headed to the cafeteria. You got your food and sat on a table with Marvin. Yes, you're alone with him now since your very supportive best friend managed to get everyone out of the scene.

"Why were you absent yesterday?", Marvin asked you with concern.

"Well, not just feeling well...wait, y-you were worried?", you asked him with some expectations and he just smiled at you.

"Of course (your name), you're a good friend afterall",

BULLSEYE! You just a felt a huge arrow  right through your chest with capital letters written on it: FRIENDZONED

"Friendzoned~", a very familiar voice said. You looked at the owner of the voice and met a pair of icy blue ice just as you expected. You shot Jack a death glare. You wanted to yell at him but then, this is not the right place to scold the winter spirit.

Seriously, what kind of talent does this guy possess to be able to make me happy and have fun but get on my nerves at the same time?!

"Uhh, Marvin uhh, I just need to go...I-I'll be back!", you smiled nervously

"Okay", you stood up and whispered toJack to come with you.

He obediently followed you. You went to a place where most students doesn't usually go to, somewhere behind the school building. You stopped, you turned hands onyour hips and brows furrowed you decided that this could be a proper place to talk with Jack.

"What are you doing here?!", you demanded for an answer.

"Well, obviously you told me to go follow you, so that's why",

"Ugh, not that!"

"Then what?"

"Don't you have anything to do?"

"Yeah"

"So you're telling me that the Guardian of Fun doesn't have anything to do?!", you nearly shouted

"If you put it like that, yes", he replied calmly.

"Oh Jack, are you planning to ruin another supposed-to-be-my-best-day-ever?!"

"Don't worry, I've never planned anything like that, just wanna spend sometime with you", he smiled innocently.

"Just why do you want to spend some time with me?",

"Why, Can you blame me?!", he said excitedly. "It's the first time I talked to someone who's almost my age!"

"Are you out of your mind?! I'm nowhere near your age! As you can see I'm just 15 and you, you're more than centuries older than me!",

"Hmm, then forget about the numbers, in one way or another we're both teenagers!",

"Even if I ignore the numbers, you're more of a child, and you know, I really think it's better if you leave now and bring winter to some other place", you said wearing a poker-face.

"You want me to leave?", he asked.

"If you put it like that, yes",

"Oh come on, can't I just stay?", he said pleading.

Must resist....he's wearing his sad face again, which always reminds you of a little child but Jack's not just that...you can't explain why but something inside you tells you that you enjoy his company.

"Fine, you can stay", you finally said in utter defeat. You leaned on the wall and slid down your back to sit. Jack just sat beside you leaving a some space between you.

"So, how's being friedzoned?", he teased.

"Oh Jack you're making me regret my decision now!", you said and he just chuckled lightly. "How did you know about those terms anyway? I never thought that a guardian of childhood would need such knowledge"

"Well, you know just being invisible, roaming around and eavesdropping",

"You don't really have any senses of privacy don't you? Barging into a girl's room, eavesdropping"

"If you'll go unseen for centuries you'll also forget about that", he replied and you partially agree about that.

"But, is being fiendzoned really that bad?", he asked. You took some moments thinking of how you'll explain it.

"Well, you know cause sometimes friendship can hinder people from getting to another level of relationship", you tried to explain.

"Why not just be friends then?"

"It's hard just being friends when you're desiring something more than that...", you said thinking about on how you want to be with Marvin now...spend time with him, and if possible spend your life with him and grow old with him.

You glanced at him and he just gave you a puzzled look. The moment you met his puzzled eyes you instantly knew he was telling you that he doesn't get it what you're trying to say. You looked at the sky.

"Say Jack, have you ever been in love?", you asked him half-unconsciously.

You looked at him again and he was surprised by your sudden question...but , you were more surprised by your own question.

What the hell did I just ask him?
