"So, why are you here?" Evie asked as soon as we got settled on her bed.
"Long story short, I'm actually running and hiding from someone. Had enough of their bossiness." I said as I pulled her blanket up to my chin. "Goodnight."
"Sweet dreams." She replied.

"Jason! Why did you let her in?" A shout woke me up from my sleep, but I kept on pretending so I could hear what's going on.
"B-because you were suffering, and Mike already passed out from the pain we felt through the mind link." A voice I recognized as Jason's replied.
"Now she'll think of me as a monster! I freaking growled and snarled at her!" Sebastian shouted.
"Don't you remember what she did for you last night? I don't think she'll do that if she thought you were a monster." Jason's voice also got louder by the second.
"Yeah, he's right. I'm not afraid of you, and you're not a monster." I sat up slowly, rubbing my eyes free of sleep. "Stop thinking so negatively."
"Now that she's up, go sort it out yourselves. I'm outta here." Jason winked at me, and left the bedroom in less than a second.
"Why did you go in the room?"
"Didn't you ask that last night? Because I don't want you to suffer." I sighed. "I'm going to brush my teeth."
After doing my business, brushing my teeth and washing my face, I went back into the room to see Sebastian gone. Wanting to surprised him, I decided to wear something feminine for once. A light blue dress paired with wedges, with my hair in a high ponytail. Sebastian already ordered the vanity table, and it's going to be delivered the day after tomorrow.
"Hey Jason, Mike." I greeted the twins as I sat at the dining table. "Where's Sebastian?"
"Dunno." They replied together as one poured cereal into my bowl, while the other poured milk.
"Oh okay." I decided to have breakfast before going to search for him.
They started telling hilarious jokes, so hilarious that Mike had milk coming out his nostrils as he laughed, which Jason and I laughed unstoppingly at.
However, we stopped when Sebastian stood at the entrance, glaring at us before heading up to our room. Sighing, I excused myself before following him. As soon as I closed the door behind me, he yelled at me.
"What the hell was that all about? I thought I made it clear that you're my mate?" Not giving me a chance to respond, he continued. "So everything you said last night was a lie? I should've never gotten my hopes up."
Getting angrier, I said, "It's not like that."
"Then what is it? Weren't you just eating breakfast with two other werewolves, both males, laughing and all dressed up? I told you, you're mine."
"I'm not yours, I'm not some piece of property, okay?" He stormed off to who-knows-where after that, and I packed several outfits into a duffle bag before getting on a plane and going to Evangeline's house.
Crazy, I know. But I just needed to take a break from everything.

"Mornin'!" I greeted Evie and her mom as I went into the dining room. It has been a week after me coming here, and I see no sight of he-who-must-not-be-spoken-of, aka Sebastian.
