"Katie... Katelyn... Wake up. It's time for school." I heard my Grandma say as she shook me awake.
"Nmmmh. Five mwow mwinuets." I moaned sleepily.
"No. Up, now." She pulled my blanket away, which caused me to slightly shiver from the cold.
"Waah!" I cried as soon as my foot touched the ice-cold wooden floor. I muttered, "Slipper, slipper." While looking for them, and found them under the bed.
I got ready for school in record time, since I was aching all over and didn't feel like putting on any products, and headed downstairs for breakfast. I looked at my digital watch, and found that almost two months had passed without me knowing. Frowning, I asked Grandma, "What date is it today?"
"December tenth. Why do you ask?" She replied as I poured myself a glass of orange juice.
"Nothing. Just... weird." I finished my breakfast quickly, and headed out the door. I couldn't remember anything from yesterday, what date it was, and if I finished my homework or not. I gasped. Maybe I'm having amnesia?
But before I could dwell a second more on that question, Grandma came running out of the house. "Darling, you're going in the wrong direction."
Funny. Even though I forgot everything about what happened this last month or so, I vaguely remember that my school was that way.
"Come, let's go before you're late." Grandma hurriedly grabbed my hand and started walking in the opposite direction, looking around as if she's looking for something.

Turns out, I've been enrolled at a new school. According to Grandma, my old one burned down or something, so the students went to different schools nearby. I hate being the new student.
"So, as I was saying, he definitely cheated on me. So I, like, dumped his stupid arse." The girl currently showing me around wasn't really showing me around, just telling me a bunch of gossip and how her ex cheated on her. "So. That's it. If you have any problems, come find me, or just go to the office. Bye!"
She ran off to join her cheerleader friends, leaving me stranded in the middle of the hallway, which was quickly emptying due to the ringing bell.
"Um... hi. My name is Judy." A timid-looking girl came up to me, and started to introduce herself. "Um... what is your first class? Maybe I can help you."
"Uh, it's English." I pulled out my schedule to show her. And she smiled.
"Oh! We have the exact same schedule! Don't worry, I'll be your friend. So just come to me if you have any questions." She tugged me towards a nearby classroom, and headed to two empty seats towards the back. "These are my friends, Ophelia, Arielle, Draymond and Max."
"Hi... I'm Katelyn. Or Katie. Either is fine." I said quietly as I sat down next to Judy and Draymond. Somehow, I felt that there's something off about my new friends.
"You can call me Dray." Draymond grinned at me a held his hand out which I shook. Judy glared at him, but I just shrugged it off. I mean, it has nothing to do with me, right? Since I'm new and all.
"Class, today we'll be working on a group project. Several students from Evernote High transferred here just today, so I want you guys to include them too." I immediately liked Ms. Jackson, since she doesn't force students to go up and introduce themselves in front of the class. "You may pick your own group for this project."
"Yay! So, Katie? Do you want to join us?" Judy asked while moving our desks together.
"Yeah, sure." I smiled, and started to move my own desk.
"You will research about mythical creatures as a group because, why not? We've been learning all about them the whole year, and I want you to do your best. You can present your project however you like, but the more creative the higher score you'll get." Ms. Jackson's instructions brought a dull pain to my head, but I chose to ignore it.
"For the rest of the year, each class would be spent on this project. However, you can also continue working on them outside of school. You have until the last week of the school year to do this. Elwood students? Help your classmates from Evernote High."
She asked if we had any questions and told us to get started.
"So... let's do werewolves " Judy suggests. "Any objections?"
Everyone in group agreed and pulled out identical laptops and started typing. I, however, just sat there not knowing what to do until Judy pushed her laptop between us and explained how we're going to present our final results.
"You probably don't know much about them, but you'll catch up pretty soon. Basically, there are several 'positions' in a pack. The Alpha, which is the leader, the Beta, aka the Alpha's right hand man, and the Gamma are the three highest positions. The rest are pack members, sometimes known as Omegas. There are also rogues running around, but they're pretty harmless. They chose not to be in a pack for personal reasons, or they were kicked out." She explained as her fingers typed away on a document. I could see several other users working on it along with her, and realized they were the group members.
"Okay..." I didn't know what to do with all this information because whenever I thought to much about them, the dull headache was back.
"By the way, Dray has the exact same classes as us."

The day passed uneventfully, just basic classes like any other school. One thing that's weird, however, was how several subjects seem to revolve around the creatures called werewolves. Besides the project in English, we also learned a bit about werewolves in History, and we had to draw or paint something wolf-related in Art.
They all brought dull headaches, which seemed to get worse with each passing minute in each class.
It was on the way home when I suddenly stumbled at the memory that came back from thinking so much about werewolves, ignoring the growing headache.
Sebastian, was a werewolf. So was Evangeline. Why do these type of things keep happening to me? And in such a short period of time, too.
Groaning, I pulled myself through the woods and back home, where I slammed my bedroom door and screamed into my pillow. It's official, I'm going insane. All because of the Red Riding Hood costume I wore on Halloween.
Peeking at my opened closet, I saw it in plain sight, as if mocking me. I stormed over to it and stuffed it at the very back, hiding it beneath other clothes. I don't want to see it any time soon.
Fate sure loves messing with my life because at that moment, I heard a wolf howling very close to the house. Like right-outside-the-window close.
I've had enough drama this past month to last me a lifetime, so I just trudged back to bed and buried myself under the covers.
Alpha or not, I wasn't going to open the window.
Ohhkay... the chapters are getting weirder and weirder...
I don't even know what I'm writing anymore lol
But, since it's already up now, I'm gonna leave it like that :/The author's notes are also getting weirder...
Anyways! This song is currently my favorite :D
