Warning sensitive subjects are in this chapter. There is mention of sexual abuse.

You hum softly as you exit your room. You also decide to grab some games that you think Frisk and Papyrus would like.

"Hey kid, you ready to go?" You jumped at the sound of Sans' voice because you forgot completely that he was there. Unfortunately Sans seemed to pick that up from you.

"Man, I thought that because we were friends you would have remembered me", he chuckles as he teases you. You face heats up and you gave him an angry gasp.

"I would never forget a pun loving skeleton in my living room! How dare you think that about me? Do you really think I'm that awful", you retorted with a smile on your face. Sans shrugged his shoulders.

"Eh, your words not mine kiddo. Now c'mon Paps and Frisk are waiting for us". You huffed as you stomped your foot on the ground, saying to the small skeleton you weren't going anywhere with his attitude.

"Kid, you are coming with me weither it's willingly or not your choice", Sans threatens while his signature grin plastered on his face.

You narrow his eyes as if to say, 'try me'. He shrugs once more.

"Well, don't say I didn't warn you", he replies while he picks you up over his shoulder. You gasp and start to kick and hit.

"Hey let me go!" You managed to say in between laughs. He's crazy! I'll show him who's in charge. You kick and scream for another minute until you tire out. Apparently it isn't me, thinking to yourself grumpily.

"Ok, ok. You win. Just put me down", you whine. Sans complies to you plea and sets you on the ground. You saw once again his signature grin. You smiled yourself.

"Okay kiddo, let's go. I know a shortcut". Before you could question him about what shortcut he was referring to, you were already in front of his house.

"Wait, how-", you started to say until you decide to shrug it off. Must be some shortcut.

You put the bag you always took whenever you went to a sleep over beside the couch and sat down. Today has been exhausting. You see Frisk signing to Paps, causing you to smile. But man was it ever so fun. You giggle.

"Older human would you like to play Chinese checkers with the smaller human and I?" Paps gave you a pleading look. Once again a giggle released from your lips.

"Well of course, Sans are you gonna play with us?" Sans look at you lazily stiffling a a yawn.

"Nah, I think I'm going to go to bed. Night kiddos", he replied with another yawn. You roll your eyes.

"BUT BROTHER WHO IS GOING TO READ THE BED TIME STORY TO THE GREAT PAPYRUS IF YOU GO TO BED", Papyrus whines.

"Oh uh, sorry bro I completely forgot I'll r-"

You interrupt Sans. "Don't worry Paps, I got you covered. Sans had a busy day so why don't we let him sleep?" You smile softly, not wanting to upset Papyrus. I don't want him to think I'm treating him like a child but how can I not? He is such a sweetheart and so innocent!

However concerned that you might upset the taller skeleton, he simply just got excited. "WOWIE, REALLY HUMAN? YOU WILL READ TO ME?"

"Of course silly, whenever you want me to read a story I'll be here. Not to brag but I am really good at reading stories."

After you played chinese checkers, and several round of sorry, you three decided to call it a night. You yawned as you headed towards Papyrus room. Nope not tonight, I have to stay awake.

"Now, what would you like me to read or would you want me to make up a story?", you ask as Papyrus and Frisk get settled in his red car bed.

"WOWIE, YOU CAN DO THAT. YOU MUST BE THE BEST READER EVER. ALL SANS DOES IS READ A BOOK HE NEVER MADE UP ONE!", Papyrus exclaims.

You laugh as you say, "Well it's settled then. I'll make up one just for you and Frisk." You told a wild story about a girl who was really lonely because she lived in a huge house with just her parents, who were always busy with work or something really important. That is until she finds a golden lock in the near by fields close to her house. She made a wish when she found the locket. She wished she had a friend, and a friend she did have. It was a little angel boy, who was the most kind hearted boy you could ever meet. They became the best of friends. However, their happiness soon ended for the girl had to move away in another country because of her parents work. They said their goodbyes. Now the girl became really lonely, so she would sit all day wishing for her best friend back. To her surprise, the boy heard her plea. He decided to find her, and when he did, they lived happily ever after.

"WOWIE, THAT'S EVEN BETTER THAN MY FAVORITE BOOK-", Papyrus started to say but seemed to pass out in the middle of his sentence. You giggle making sure not to wake the two.
-----------------------------
2 am, that was the current time. You were dog tired but you wouldn't allow yourself fall asleep. You couldn't allow yourself. You were peacefully drawing in your sketch book, while you song book layed on your lap.

"Ey, what are you drawing there?" The voice called out, making you jump.

"How many times do you have to scare me enough to make you stop?" You erased the line that you accidentally drew from your quick movement. "If you must know, I'm drawing us at the park", you mumble agitated. This caused Sans to chuckle.

"Well are you going to let me look at? I bet if I'm in it it's going to be Sanstastic!" The skeleton seemed to find it hilarious, laughing like a buffoon. As an effect, you started to laugh crazily. "So, you couldn't sleep either", Sans questioned.

"More like I haven't slept. So I decided to draw and write. Sorry if I awoke you." You felt guilty for keeping the lights on. You should have been more considerate.

"Nah you didn't, but why can't you sleep?" You get aggravated by the question. You really didn't want to answer that. Can't you ask any question but that one. "(Y/n), I'm only trying to get to know you", Sans says kindly. I guess he does have the right to know, as a friend.

"I, uh, have really wierd dreams. Nightmares really. It started to happen after my mother died. You see, my mom was my only parental figure growing up. Not only that but my best friend. My dad, well he wasn't the best and my parent separated before I was born. He wanted nothing to do with me. When my mom was murdered, I had to move in with my grandma and my grandpa. My grandpa wasn't the best either. He used to, um, feel me and make me do stuff I didn't want to. When my grandma learned about what happen, she was furious. She thought I made it up. So I had to suffer through it until he died five years ago. Now it's just me and granny." You had felt an hand squeezing your shoulder and pulls you in for a hug.

"Wow (y/n), I had no idea. You just seem so happy all the time, I'm... really sorry", Sans says with a solemn note in his voice. You chuckle.

"It's the past. I learned to be okay with it."

"But you shouldn't be. Your grandmother should have believed you", Sans says darkly.

"Well, she won't so there is no point in trying. I know she is... hard to handle at times but I deserve every bit of it. I caused so much trouble for her. She had to raise me since I was nine. I was another mouth to feed in a already poor family, I understand why she is so hard on me", you reply looking away from Sans. You hated talking bad about your grandmother. You felt like you somehow betrayed her.

"You were just a kid! You didn't ask for all that to happen. You don't ever deserve abuse. You are too kind of person to deserve that. No one ever deserves to be mistreated. No one." You were surprised by Sans statement. You felt like crying, and you did. "Oh hey kid, I didn't mean to make you cry".

"No don't be sorry, it just really touched me. Thank you." You hug Sans one more time.
