I recently had somebody ask about verse Jeremiah 29:11 and what it meant.
"For I know the plans I have for you," declares The Lord. "Plans to prosper you and not to harm you. To give you hope and a future."In this verse God states that He knows us. From before we were born to now he has loved us and has had a plan for us.
As Jeremiah 1:5 says
"Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart; I appointed you as a prophet to the nations."Before we were even conceived God had a purpose for us. You were not a mistake. Sometimes we think we are, but if God knew us before we were even dreamt of, we must have a reason. Gods purpose and will are perfect.
You know the saying "hindsight is 20/20?" Since God is outside of time, his "hindsight" is our past present and future.
God has set us apart for different purposes. Maybe you're a writer and will become the next Doctor James Dobson. Maybe you love music and will write it like Brit Nicole. Maybe you'll be that person at work or school that's polite or always smiles. Maybe you'll do something nobodies thought of. Maybe you'll be that "normal person" with the "normal job" in a "normal town" with a "normal family." Anywhere you go and anything you do is part of Gods plan for you.
Through God, you can have hope and a future.By the way, thank you to the person who IMed (is that what its called on wattpad?) me and asked about this. Please feel free to do so. I'll be glad to try to answer any questions about the bible or an opinionated "what is your take on..." or even if you just need support or prayer. I'm glad do do both!
