Our Father, who is/art in heaven,
Holy/Hallowed be thy Name.
Your/Thy Kingdom come.
Your/Thy will be done on earth,
As it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our trespasses,
As we forgive them that trespass against us.
And lead us not into temptation,
But deliver us from evil.
For yours/thine is the kingdom,
The power, and the glory,
For ever and ever.
Amen.
This is the most common prayer ever. Lets break it up a little.
Our father: Gods our dad. Only better. He's the best dad cuz he'll never hurt us. U can talk to him like ur dad. He wants to hear from u.
who is/art in heaven: Gods in heaven but he's also here with us
Holy/hallowed be your/thy name: Gods name is very holy treat it as so.
Your/thy kingdom come thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven: in everything we do it should reflect God.
Give us this day our daily bread: asking God to give us the necessities of life.
And forgive us our trespasses: asking God to forgive us of our sins. No sin is to great for him.
As we forgive those who trespass against us: Treat others the way u want to be treated.
And lead us not into temptation and deliver us from evil: asking God to help us stay away from evil.
For yours/thine is the kingdom and power and glory forever and ever: God should reflect in all of us.
Amen: a word meaning it is finished or let it be said.
