Chapter 9 - Faded

(After the KitKat arrival, and in Maya'sPOV, This is MLWaterGirl btw!)

Maya's POV

I was utterly shocked at her. I was bewildered for the whole day people kept giving me worried looks. Why? Why would she do that?? Does it give her pleasure or is she insecure?

After school I couldn't take it anymore. So I tried to find missy, damn she was hard to find! I walked towards the far lockers, to see Missy.

She stared at me for a good 30 seconds before thinking of anything to say, I didn't do anything! I plucked up some courage and walked towards her.

"Hey, what do you think your doing freshman!" She spat out rudely.

I wanted punch that stupid smirk off her face but she has the upper hand. She knows my past and she's not afraid to spill it out...

"I wa-wanted to g-go to t-th-the pa-park with y-you." I stuttered uncontrollably. I wonder why I try to be nice...

"Naww is little freshman Maya stuttering?" Missy teased.

"Yes-s or n-no?" I said still weirdly stuttering, snap out of it Maya!

"Haha! Fine!" She sneered ungratefully.

I seriously regret being nice.

I stood at the park wearing my hoodie and my jeans, it was so cold. I looked up to see Missy still with that stupid smirk, but she wasn't alone... 2 large muscular boys accompanied her. My heart was pounding and my hands were clammy.

"Get her boys!" She cackled.

They started walking to me and I started to back away. Wrong move. They bolted and grabbed me by my arms tightly.

"She's a light one this is going to be easy!" Said one of the men cracking his knuckles.

I tried to free myself from their grasp but damn they were strong. I started to sob gently not knowing what was going to happen to me. Someone please save me. Please. Hearing my sob, out of pity they loosened their grip but not enough for me to escape, they harshly threw me onto the grass and started punching relentlessly. I couldn't fight back, I was useless. My whole body was covered in dark purple bruises, I curled into a ball and sobbed. Out of the corner of my eye I could see Missy laughing and walking out of the dark deserted park with the boys.

I couldn't get up so I cried myself to sleep.
