Kamina's P.O.V

My father and Ino looked partly shocked while Sesshomaru remained unfazed.  He nodded.  "Yes princess, that is my name" He said with a bow.  He seemed so much different from the boy at the stream though.  This boy seemed... isolated, alone.  It hurt me to think Sesshomaru, my best friend could be so hollow.   "Have you two met each other?"  My father asked, knocking me out of my trance.  

"Wha- Oh um no."  I lied.  "I heard some of the maids mentioning his name.  I just guessed."  I shrugged. I looked at Sesshomaru to see if her would speak up, but he only looked the other way seeming uninterested.  Lord Inutaisho chuckled.  "Well old friend, why dont you and I catch up on things while our kids play?"  He boomed, patting my fathers back.  Inever saw my father act so normal. So un-royal like.  He  gladly smiled at the man and they walked inside the castle.  "Kamina! Why dont you show Lord Sesshomaru around our castle?" My father suggested as he and Inutaisho disappeared inside.

Now it was quiet and alone.  Just Sesshomaru and I.   My brow furrowed and i instantly turned, punching sesshomaru in the arm.  He stumbled back and glared at me.  "What was that for?!"  He asked, holding his arm.  "That was for acting like you dont know me."  I replied.  I punched him again, only in the other arm. "And that was for not telling me your a prince!" I spat.  Sesshomaru sighed and just like that he was the boy from the lake again.  

        He smiled and said, " Im sorry. I didnt think it was of importance.  And you didnt mention you were the demon princess of the north." He finished off his second with a smirk as he cossed his arms.  "Idiot." I huffed. He chuckled.  "Missed you too."  I rolled my eyes and held my nose in the air, looking the other way.  "Whatever! your just lucky we're best friends or I'd kick you all the way to the other side of the castle. "  I muttered.  He grinned.  "Well come on.  I dont trust people here enough to talk.  Lets go to the garden!"  I offered, taking his hand. He looked confused at first, but then nodded and ran with me to the garden.

        When we finally got there, we sat down on the green, plush grass.  The small pond on the other side of the garden, making the occasional splash from the fishes. It was the perfect Japanese garden.  I sat down next to sesshomaru, not bothering to be princess like.  He didn't mind.  "You have a nice castle.  Especially your garden."  He complimented as he touched the petals of one of the flowers.   "Thanks."   I smiled.  He sighed and we lied on our backs, just looking up at the sky.  "So why didn't you tell me?"  I asked looking at him. He moved a strand of hair from my face and sighed.  "Honestly, I didnt want to."  he answered.  "Why?"   I asked again.  "Because Kami.  Im 'Lord Sesshomaru'.  The one who will take over my fathers kingdom. People depend on me. They want me to be a leader , and to be mature with responsibilities." He continued.  "I dont want that.   I didnt want you to treat me the same way.  With you, I felt like a normal boy. Not a prince. " He finished.

 I nodded in understanding and put my hand on his.  "Well next time we meet at some stream like complete strangers," I smiled. "You tell me who you really are. And believe me, I wont treat you like some prince.  He chuckled and nodded.  "Thank you.  Now.  Why didn't you mention anything?"  He urged.  I sighed and rolled my eyes.  "Partly the same reasons."  I answered, taking my hand back.  "Except I was sick of royalty. Im locked up here. Mistreated by some.  I wanted to get out and feel the freedom.  Then I met you.  You gave me that freedom.  Ad my first friend."  He smiled at me, and his gold eyes seemed to shine.  "Well, I certainly am lucky." He chuckled.  I had a confused look. "For what?"  Sesshomaru sat up, and I did the same.  "I met you." He smiled.

I giggled and was about to say something when I heard clapping.  We both turned our heads to the castle doors that lead back inside. At the gold sliding doors, stood  Sien.  The red lipstick she wore spread into a thin smirk as she clapped her hands together.  "Well, how nice is this?  The princess and prince are getting along!" She gasped.  I dug my nails hard enough into the dirt, letting a growl escape my lips.  " Poor Lord Sesshomaru.  The only reason he's here is sympathy." She purred.  The anger continued to flare in me, but her words stung.  Sesshomaru was monotone again.  "Dnt stay with her because you feel sorry for her, dear boy.  She's accustomed to being unwanted by now."  That was all it took.  I got up, a single tear running down my face.  "You idiot she devil! Go get your slutty ass into some other mans pants!"  I yelled.  More tears ran down my face and I covered my face with my arm as Iran away from the garden.  All other sounds were tuned out, but I continued to run until i reached my room.  "I hate it here. I absolutely hate it!"
