Within time, days transformed into months since Kamina entered her slumber.  The winter had come and gone, and now spring nibbled upon nature.  Flowers began to bloom, and the sun was the brightest it had been in many months.

After hearing of Kamina's accident, the villagers of Kaede's village visited every so often. The princess's body was there, but the area she laid in was almost guarded by the tree. The roots of the large oak wrapped around Kamina's body, almost cradling her.   After a few months, the villagers had lost hope, and so they used the roots of the tree as her grave. Flowers and offerings were always placed around her.

Inuyasha laid on the opposite side of the tree, but no one dared go near him.   Ignoring his body, few visited Kamina after several months.   The young woman's  shinobi, Hajime, was the only one who was there every hour.  He solemnly left, only when he needed food.  However, in snow or rain, Hajime was always by her side.   He allowed not the slightest threat to approach her, and today was no different.

As Kamina laid peacefully at the tree, Hajime resided in the closure of nature.

It was moments after Hajime left, that footsteps neared Kamina's resting place.  The black shoes stopped only a few feet away from her as the wind blew.   The only sounds present, were those of nature.

The wind blew, and the individuals silver hair blew along with it.   The man Kamina had so wished to see only months ago, joined her now.

Sesshomaru's  cold amber eyes were soft at the sight of her body. Her hair spread out around her, and her hands over her stomach. The roots served as a nest, or barrier, around her body as she slept.

The amber expressed so much emotion behind it. He held remorse towards her, for not joining him months ago. However so, Sesshomaru couldn't hate her. No matter how much he brought himself to, he couldn't.

Sesshomaru neared Kamina, and stood beside the tall roots. He looked down at her, seeming peacefully asleep. His fingers curled around Tensaiga's hilt, wanting so much to wake her. Knowing she was only asleep,  he released his grip.  His hand slowly came and brushed her cheek. Sesshoamru's claws brushed her soft cheek, but soft enough as to not cut her. He wanted to awaken her. To beg her again to follow him. However, Sesshomaru knew very well, he couldn't.

Sesshomaru wished to find the one who did this to her, but even so, he knew she wouldn't want that.  There was a reason behind all this, and Sesshomaru was sure of that.  But, he wasn't sure of the reason. Had she slept, instead of curing herself, to be beside Inuyasha as his guardian?

Sesshomaru thought of this, and didn't realize his hand running through her hair.  He sighed, and leaned in, kissing her forehead.

  Kamina's P.O.V

It had been only minutes since I sensed Sesshomaru's aura. Was he really here? Or was this just another dream? I couldn't bring myself to think it was. The aura was too strong, and I could smell his scent as the wind blew.

He neared me, and within seconds, I could feel his touch resting upon my cheek.  I found myself wanting to lean into the warmth of his palm, though I knew it was too late.  I still had years until I would be fully awake.  The blades power has long since surpassed my own. I no longer know if I can hold it within me, and control the thirst for power and bloodshed.   Locking myself in this realm of dreams is the best I can do.
