We follow Uriah to a place in the compound that I've never been, but I guess the pull for exploration has kind of been dull for a while now.

I memorize the turns we take, knowing that things around here can change in an instant, and I can tell by the worried looks of the people I pass that they feel the same reluctance to be by me.

When we get to two large double doors Uriah stops and looks at us smiling.
"You ready?" He asks, smiling like a total idiot.
"As ready as I'll ever be." Christina says, "Now open the damn doors already."

And so he does.

When the doors open, I'm blinded by a bright light coming from above us. A breath of fresh air hits me hard and I welcome the fresh scent.
"What-" when my eyes finally adjust I see what he's talking about.

To the left of me are 4 simple targets shaped like a person, they're fresh and clean, no recent marks from a gun or a knife. Standing about 10 yards from the targets are rows of tables with silver handled knives. I see Tobias fingers twitch next to me, no doubt waiting to get his hands on them.

Directly in front of me I see a black thick black mat on a 6 inch platform. I have a flash to when Peter and I fought and he acted as if the word mercy did not exist. I remember the smell of blood from my fight with Molly and decide against a reunion with the sparring mat for now. And then to my right I see at least 10 shiny new punching bags. Some are handing from the ceiling, some are bolted to the ground, and some are mobile and simple.

Those are the things that catch my eye and then I begin to notice the similarities. The open skylight, the rocky walls, not as high as the ones in the pit but close.
I even notice the dark black rack holding at least a dozen paintball guns and dark purple rounds of ammunition.

The only differences are the size of the room and the quality of what's in it. In the dauntless training room the bags and targets never had a speck of dust and the punching bags were riddled with age and wear.

I look around me and see awe in the faces of Tobias and Christina, when my eyes land on Uriah he looks to be almost sad.

"Cara told me that they made this room for training their own initiates here but she said that they never had the need for an army."

I roll my eyes and laugh at the idea of Cara leading the training. The similarities between this room and the one back at dauntless strike me as odd but Uriah answers my doubts with me having to ask.

"She also told me that when her parents are the ones who started all this." He waves his hand and I remember to ask if he's referring to the training room or the bureau itself, for now I keep to do something other than sit and wait for some thing to happen.

I step away from my small group and Tobias grabs my arm, "Woah there," he says checking me up and down "you still have a broken ankle, Tris."

I smile at him shrugging, "And I still don't care."

He smiles at me at me and let's me go following me to the punching bags.

I hear Christina laugh behind me right before I hear the thud and the sound of s knife dropping to the cement floor.

"Oops." Is all I hear Uriah say before I focus on the bag.

The cast on my foot makes me feel uneven but I spread my feet the way I was taught and I start to hit the bag.

Before I know it the sound of laughter and the feel of Tobias' body near mine washes away and is drowned out by the sound of my knuckles against the leather bag. I think of my parents and Caleb and I feel the skin over my knuckles begin to split.
I think of Tori, Shauna, my hands sting, I think of my fellow dauntless, my abnegation friends from when I was a kid, I see the blood on the bag and then I feel Tobias hand across my stomach as he pulls me away.
