"No."
"But I said please!"
"But I said no." Liz gives Dylan a pouty face but he stands firm. We are currently still at the mall sitting down for a quick lunch. Mallory sits down and takes some or Dylan's fries. I clear my throat and Dylan and Liz's heads snap up to look at me.
"Can we talk?" I ask quietly staring at the table.
"Of course we can!" Liz says standing. I look at Dylan and over at Liz.
"I meant Dylan." I say quietly.
"Why?" He asks suddenly.
"You know why."
"Margo-" Without listening to the rest I walk to the other side of the table, grab his arm, and yank him to a standing position. I pull him to a more secluded section. "Margo. I'm really tired of this."
"Me too." I mutter coming to a stop and facing him. "You know I wouldn't ever hurt you." He sighs.
"Of course I know that. It just makes it easier to be mad at you that way."
"I don't want you mad at me." He just stares at me. "I know you're tired of hearing this and I'm tired of saying it and then changing my mind but I want you to be mine."
"But you're leaving. How could we ever date if I knew it was only going to be a few more weeks until you had to leave again?" I tug at the roots of my hair getting agitated.
"Ugh! I don't know anymore." My hands fall to my sides. I look him in the eyes and stare at him. "All I know is that I don't want you to be with her. I can't stand the thought of you with someone else and I can't be away from you. We've already tried that."
"Being together wasn't any better in that sense." I look down at our feet. They're close together, so close that the tips are touching. I nudge his right with my left.
"It wasn't all that bad in that sense either." I say glancing up at to see that he's staring at our shoes too.
"I'm not enough to make you stay." He runs his hand through his hair and pulls on the ends. "You already showed me that. I don't want to be with you if it's not going to last long." He looks up at me.
"So beg the way you made me. Tell me you refuse to let me get on that plane. I like a guy who begs." I say with a small smile. He gives me a half smile in return remembering the first day we got together.
"Please stay." He whispers looking me in the eyes. He grabs onto my hands and pulls me towards him. "Don't leave me." I slowly nod, my body feeling numb from his touch.
"I won't leave you." I whisper.
"Promise?" Instead of answering I lean in and kiss him. He presses his body against mine but keeps the kiss slow.
"I promise." I say when we break apart. I wrap my arms around his waist and hug him. We stand like that for a few more minutes before walking back to the table.
"So?" Lilly asks. "Did you two make up? Are you back together?" Liz glares at me. I turn to Dylan who's looking back at me with a raised eyebrow. I can't keep my smile off my face any longer and look back at Lilly.
"We're back together." I say excitedly. Dylan wraps his arm around my shoulder and kisses my temple. I wrap my arm around his waist. I glance at Liz with a hurt look on her face. The hurt turns to shock, then confusion, and finally anger. She stands from her chair abruptly and it tilts back a little before smacking to the ground.
"I thought you were my friend." Liz says glaring at Dylan.
"Liz-"
"No. Fuck you." She says pointing at him.
"Liz chill." I say. She turns her glare towards me.
"You've been out to get me since you got here! You only want him because I do!"
"I didn't know you liked him until we started dating." I say calmly.
"And once you found out you sure as hell weren't backing down were you?" I don't say anything.
"You can't control her. And whether you did or not, you can't tell me who to like. You should know that by now." Dylan says.
"What about me? I've been your friend forever. Not her." Liz points at me.
"And you still are my friend Liz. I know you hate the fact that I'm dating someone that isn't you and that's pretty much the only reason you don't like Margo but I'm fine. I've moved on from the past. I'm over her and I won't go all crazy everytime I think about her now."
"Yeah? Well what about when Margo leaves? Will you be able to stay sane when she leaves?" I look over at Dylan holding my breath. His shoulders drop in defeat.
"Probably not." He says honestly. He looks over at me and his eyes alone make me want to melt. "But I trust her not to leave me like she did. She already decided to stay here for the year." I place my hands around his neck and turn his head towards me and kiss him not caring that Lilly and Liz are watching. Soon there's an applause going around and I break away from Dylan to see what its for. I look around while I keep my body close to his and my arms wrapped around his neck before looking back at him.
"They're clapping for us you idiot." He whispers against my lips causing me to giggle a little.
"I'm sorry." I whisper back still smiling.
"Just kiss me." Then he presses his lips back to mine. Soon there's more clapping and wolf whistles and then we're breaking apart.
I remove my arms from Dylan's neck and see Lilly smiling. I glance over at Liz and I think my jaw drops to the ground. I would've thought she'd be standing there glaring or being held back but she's standing there clapping along with everyone else in the cafeteria. I glance at Dylan and he's smiling at Liz. He wraps and arm around my shoulder and I wrap both of mine around his waist squeezing him. Then he wraps his other one around me and squeezes me back. He kisses the top of my head and I look up at him then he places a soft kiss on my lips.
"Hurt him and I end you." Liz says glaring at me. I purse my lips and nod.
After we finish shopping Dylan and I hang out at his house. We mostly just cuddle and kiss but we also had a play fight, watched TV, and talked. His parents and Mackenzie were out of town on a business trip so we had the whole house to ourselves. For dinner we decided to call in a pizza and watch movies.
"We are not watching that."
"You agreed we could wat h anything I wanted since you got to choose the pizza."
"We aren't watching that." He says again ignoring me.
"Shut up and wait for the pizza." I say throwing a pillow at him. He throws it back at me and then jumps on top of me while I'm still distracted. I grab onto his arms laughing. Dylan tries to tickle me but my arms keep him from touching me. He puts more weight on me until I can't hold him and then he collapses on top of me. Im shaking with laughter so Dylan is bouncing up and down slightly from my laughing. He picks his arms and head up slightly so his face is close to mine. I continue chuckling as we stare at each other. He moves some hair that fell over my face while we were fighting. I place my hands on both of his cheeks and bring his mouth to mine. He backs away and looks at me with a smile before placing kisses all over my face. I start laughing again as he continues to put kisses on my nose, forehead, cheeks, mouth, and eyes. Then he brings his lips back to mine and we lay there kissing for what feels like hours. The doorbell rings breaking us apart. Before dylan gets up to go get it he grabs the pillow and hits me with.
"We aren't watching that movie." He says before disappearing. I chuckle and he opens the door. While he's distracted I put in the movie. When he gets back he sets the pizza on the table in front of the couch and get comfortable on the couch. Dylan wraps his arms around my waist and I cover us in a blanket.
"This is all I could ever ask for from you even though I know you played this terribly boring movie." I look up at him and kiss him.
"You know you love it."
For the rest of the night we watch a stack of movies and eat pizza until we fall asleep on the couch.
