Jaebum's POV
I must say,the girl is quite interesting. She was a little frustrating at first because of rude behavour. Ahem, who threatens someone you don't know? But when I saw her pig out,she seemed free and easy-going because she didn't give a single shit that I was right beside her. It amazes me on how she couldn't recognise me but it irritates me more that I don't know who she is. I wanted to take her mask off so desperately but she wants to stay anonymous. I've got to respect that but I would want to be the tyrant and yank it off.
"Goodbye!"I waved, biding her goodbye. She said the same thing and waved back before sauntering away.
"Dude where were you?"Jinyoung asked, popping out of nowhere. I jumped, startled. Mark shook his head at Jinyoung's actions in amusement.
"I decided to go on a break. It's boring."
"I agree. But we need to find the rest before heading home though."Mark said. "Hey...isn't that Hyun's bracelet?"he asked, pointing to a silvery chain on the floor. He walked towards it and picked it up. It's Hyun's? Don't tell me she's the girl...no that's wrong on so many levels! But wait,it might not have been that girl just now. Hyun might have just walked by.
"Was Hyun here?"Jinyoung asked.
"Uh...no? I don't know. I was paying attention."I said, though my mind was overwhelmed with thoughts and my heart beating at an insane rate. Please please please don't be Hyun. It can't be Hyun.
Jinyoung raised a brow and stared at me doubtfully. I ignored him and looked at Mark who was busy examining the bracelet. "It's her's for sure. I'll just give it back to her."
"Why don't I give it to her instead? She's babysitting tomorrow."I offered and he passed over the bracelet to me.
"Take good care of it."he reminded and I nodded my head.
"Yeah you better."Jinyoung added on,his gaze piercing into my soul.
I stared at the bracelet,a chill going down my spine. I'll just ask her tomorrow.

Hyun cradled Chanhee in her arms, humming a lullaby as she swayed around slowly and patted him gently. She stared into his eyes, smiling at him,her flyaways tickling Chanhee's extended hands. Chanhee giggled in response. If Hyun stops threatening to kill people, she probably be a great mother in the future.
My mother came back and slammed the door causing Chanhee to cry out of shock. My mother rushed in and started berating her,not leaving her any time to explain herself. After she got hired back by appa,my mother seemed to hate her but never dared to fire her. My mother started treating my father coldly too but my father seemed even happier which makes me wonder what their relationship was. What if she was the illegimate daughter of dad? Or worse they were having an affair. Ok the second one sounds ridiculous. But the first one though...
Hyun started apologising profusely, totally given up on the idea of explaining herself. She seemed fragile at this moment,a push could just ruin her totally, the total opposite to her usual self. Or maybe she puts up an act in school, maybe she's acting tough.
Chanhee started crying more and I rolled my eyes. Seriously, eomma,is Chanhee less importantly than scolding Hyun?
I entered the room and took Chanhee out of Hyun's arms, making my mother pause. "You know, eomma, before you scold her,you should find out why Chanhee is even crying and I can answer that question. It's you. You were the one who made noise and made him cry."I said rudely and stormed off. Yes,she's my mother but she's been acting like a total bitch lately. She seems like she doesn't care about our family at all and stares in the office till late at night while my father became my 'mother' and started checking up on everyone. It's like a role reversal and it seems like Hyun has something to do with it. Clearly,my mother isn't happy about it.
There was silence from the room before some murmurings and both of them left the room,my mother headed to the bedroom and Hyun towards me.
"Thanks."she mumbled and took Chanhee over. "You sounded like a real brother down there."she commented.
"I don't sound like that on usual days?"I questioned,raising a brow.
"On normal days, you either fight with them or rot in your room."she replied. "And sometimes you're a dickhead because Chanhee wakes up from all the noise you and your friend make."she added on.
I sunk into the sofa. This time,I didn't mind that she insulted me. I'm actually quite used to it and I don't know if that's good or bad. I was suddenly reminded of what I was suppose to return her when it poked my butt. Geez. It's like it can't wait to get out.
"Here."I said as I shoved the bracelet in her hands.
"How did you get it? I thought I lost it last night..."she exclaimed. Last night?
"Mark found it and said it belonged to you."
"Mark? Mark was the guy?!"she softly exclaimed trying not to scare Chanhee. She groaned and mouthed 'fuck' repeatedly.
"What guy?"I pretended to be dumb.
"Oh nothing, just that I was a complete idiot and revealed to him that he was in a fucking love square,"she scoffed in disbelief.
I laughed dryly.
"Yeah Mark was that guy."
