I dont go outside much. I've never left the house. I've never even been to a real school. In fact Im homeschooled. I imagine it would be horrible in highschool. Im way too shy to talk to anyone. I only talk to the old owl in Granny's den, and my family of course.
There isn't much to know about me. I'm pretty boring. I'm fifteen years old. I have straight, long brown hair and my eyes look like the green stuff you see floating on top of our backyards pond. I watch TV but nothing on there really interests me. None of the Disney channel stuff is like real life. K.C. Undercover? Are you kidding me? Teenage spy who's parents let her risk her life and dont get me started on Nickelodeon. The news doesn't interest me either. It seems like all of the stuff on there is fake. Anyways like I said, I'm a boring person.
"Amie! I've probably told you a thousand times..." my mom started to yell but interrupted her.
"Thirty-four." I yelled back. I already knew what she was going to say.
"Still, you're not suppose to let your sister eat any sweets after six!" my mother replied in a rather harsh tone. Being the oldest meant babysitting my two younger siblings. Amber who was seven, and Anthony who was ten.
"Sorry mom, if there's any I can do to make it up to you..." I sighed. It was probably more chores.
"Go to the store and pick up a gallon of milk. You have that app on your phone right?" my mom said as I walked down the stairs. My eyes widened.
"Google maps?" I asked my eyes slowly drooping back to normal. I unlocked my phone and saw the battery was low. By low I mean forty-five percent. One thing I knew about the city was that it was ten miles away from our house. I knew that battery life wouldn't last but i didn't tell mom. Mother pointed to the coat hanger by our front door. I looked over at the familiar red cloak that hung on the only painted hook.
"Hurry on!" my mother exclaimed. I rushed over to the coat hanger and grabbed the cloak. I placed it around my shoulders and tied the ribbon. I grabbed the basket on the floor and place my phone and wallet in it. This was going to be a tough journey.
