We started to walk farther and farther. Than I heard footsteps creeping up.
"Boo!" two kids yelled startling Golgi and I.
"Hazel and Greg!"Golgi cheered. "This is Amie, and we're going on a walk!"
"Well if you're going into the woods, can we come? As we all know its the fastest route to the store. Momma sent us out to buy some food." Greg said after fixing his ruffled hair. He blinked his blue eyes a couple of times and turned towards Hazel, his twin sister.
"Sure, but we need to hurry."I replied checking my phone for the time. Nine O' Clock.
We started to walk and I decided to start a conversation.
"How old are you guys?" I asked, looking over at Hazel and Greg.
"Sixteen, and you?" Hazel replied her voice quivering.
"Fifteen."
Than it was silent. It stayed that way. We decided to take a stop at the park to rest for a minute even though we hadn't been walking for long.
I watched everyone play and wandered why I never had been able to do this.
I sighed and sat on a bench as I watched Hazel and Greg play tag. I looked over to Golgi who was picking up leaves.
"No. This one is way to hard. This ones to soft. Oh! This one is just right." she said examining each flower.
I sighed and dug in the basket. I took out my phone and a KitKat.
I turned my phone on and went to Spotify. I put shuffle and the first song that came on was Dont Mind by
Kent Jones. I did the dance I saw from musical.ly and than decided to play on that for a while. After I made about four musical.ly's, I turned off my phone and called everyone over to me.
"We should get back to our walk." I sighed and stood up pulling my red cape down so that it covered my legs. I placed the silk hood over my head softly and looked at Golgi for support. She nodded lightly. We finally started to walk again. It wasn't long until we reached the front of the woods.
The trees were tall. They reminded me of giants. I looked up and back down to see a kid with their back turned to us. I sighed. Another person would want to join our little 'adventure'. I smiled but soon my heart stopped when the kid turned around.
