I awoke slowly, not knowing where I was for a minute as I looked into the dark room. Then I felt someone beside me. Kendall. I lifted my head slightly to look at him, knowing the he was probably asleep.
I looked at a sleeping Kendall who was his resting his head on his hand and slumped towards the opposite way. I was now laying my head in his lap with my legs stretched out behind me.
I looked around the room, which was dark, and the TV was off and the only sound was the rushing air coming from the central air conditioning, and Kendall's shallow breathing.
I moved what I had left of the blanket and sat up slowly, trying not to wake him up. I got up slowly, a few bones cracking here and there as I winced.
I tip toed to the door which was open just enough so I could slip out without opening it any farther.
I stepped out and walked out into the kitchen quietly, the wood cool under my bare feet.
I figured I was hungry so I raided Kendall's fridge and pantry. I found a jar of my favorite pickles, and a few chips ahoy cookies. I poured myself some organic sweet tea and pulled up a bar stool at the island.
I do wish pickles weren't so loud when you crunched on them, because there were literally loud enough to wake Kendall up, even down the hallway.
I finished three large dill pickles and about 4 or 5 chocolate chip cookies, I picked up my tea and walked back down to the media room.
Kendall was still asleep of corse. He had moved positions slightly. I realized my phone was in his car, I spotted Kendall's iPhone underneath his right hand on the arm rest.
Hmmm I though to myself. I could probably get it, if I did it right.
I slowly tip toed up to the arm rest and slowly reached my hand out towards this phone. I just wanted to reach my friend to tell her where I was and if I get caught that would be the truth and what I would tell him.
I placed my fingers on the corner of the phone and started pulling it out carefully. Kendal woke up and moved around a bit but kept his hand placed over the phone.
I pulled once more like a bandaid and Kendall retracted his hand and placed it on his lap.
I went back over to my spot and sat close to Kendall but not to close to wake him up.
I got into his phone, seeing that his home screen picture was one of us at the diner, my hair curled and my head on Kendall's shoulder smiling happily. I felt Kendall stir beside me but didn't look up as I was still texting my roommate.
"Is that my phone?'' He asked sleepily. I looked over at Kendall who was rubbing his eyes trying to see the object in my hands.
"Maybe, maybe not..." I answered, sending the text.
"What are you doing?" He asked as he leaned his head on my shoulder. A simple gesture released hundreds of butterflies in my stomach, but I controlled it by holding in a smile.
"Texting my roommate, just letting her know where I am." I told him putting my head on his. His hair smelled like a mix of axe and old spice mixed together and just...Kendall.
"Why didn't you use your phone?" He asked yawning.
"It's in your car." I sighed, "What tine is it?"
Kendall sat back up, and looked at his phone. "5:30."
"Ugh, u can't believe that we slept for almost 4 hours. "
"Me neither." He got up, and started waking towards the door.
"Where are you going?" I asked feeling lonely already.
"Bathroom..."
"Oh, alright." A moment later I decided to go to the living room and explore some more.
As I was filling though some old vinyl records on a shelf of the entertainment piece in the living room, I felt a pair of strong arms wrap around my waist.
"Like those?" He asked a smirk apparent in his voice.
"No, I love them. My grandpa and I would always listen to these songs and dance to them. My sister would too. When ever I feel down I always listen to the old 50's and 60's music. It brings back good memories." I smiled, set the Elvis record down, and turned around in his arms to face him.
"Really?" He smiled softly.
"Yeah, I miss it." I told Kendall as I looked down. Kendall's hands moved from my waist to intertwine with my fingers.
"Dance with me. " Kendall said seriously.
I looked up surprised. "What?"
"Dance with me." He repeated.
"But there's no music." I said still a little confused.
He let go of my hands and walked over to where the records were and picked up a Roy Orbison record, not really paying any attention to what it was and put it on an old record player.
In a second it started playing Ooby Dooby, one that I can remember dancing and singing along with, with my grandpa.
"Now, dance with me." He smiled and held his hands out.
I took a deep breath and in the next few minutes I found my self and Kendall dancing innocently to the 50's music beat.
One of the songs that had come on was a slow song. The type love song that almost silently insisted that you find that special person and hold them close.
You know something that would play at a wedding or a dance or maybe even the local skating station.
As the slow music started playing Kendall showed something in his eyes. Something that silently told me what he wanted. "Come here." He said from across the room.
I walked a few steps and stopped about two feet in front of him. "You gotta meet me half way." I teased and couldn't keep the smirk from spreading across my face.
In a flash Kendall had picked me up and was spinning me around.
"Kendall. Stop." I giggled while out of breath. "Put me down!"
"Kiss me first." he laughed.
"Please?" I giggled again, ignoring him.
"Nope, only if you kiss me first." Now he had his hands locked under my butt supporting my weight. I was up far enough that his face was basically at my chest.
I laughed at him, "Fine," and leaned down to kiss him, considering the angle I was at.
Our lips met though, and Kendall let me slowly slid down, but we never broke the kiss.
My feet touched the ground and Kendall gracefully dipped me and I giggled slightly.
He brought me back up, and slow danced to the current song that was playing, it was a perfect moment.
I leaned my head on Kendall's chest, I could stay here forever, with his heartbeat perfectly in sync with the tempo if the music and the warm, good, unexplainable feeling I had with Kendall.

Romance"What?" I laughed again, but only because he was looking at me with that sympathetic look people have given me all my life. "But Neveah, you don't have anyone..." He spoke sadly. "But, I do. I have you," I looked over at him and a smile creeped up...
