(Adelina's POV)
"Okay, thanks sis, I'm here." I whispered. I wasn't really home, but I wanted to discover what or who saved my life just moments earlier.
"Alright, Adelina, you take care. And remember you can always confide in me, no matter the subject."
"Thanks sis, goodnight." I said.
I waited until i saw the call ended signal to place the phone in my back pocket I heard a heavy thud. "Who's there!?"
"Hey lady, if I wanted to hurtcha's I would've already done it and been in bed by now." Said the rough, heavily sarcastic voice.
"We'll what are you waiting for!?" I snarled with my hands in fighting position.
"I don't think you really wanna pick a fight with someone who just saved your life."
His voice seemed to come from a different direction each time he spoke. He was everywhere at once and yet I could not see him.
"What are you!?" I yelped.
"Just an average Joe..." He said lowly.
"I highly doubt that given your skills." I stated with confidence, my hands still balled in a fighting position.
"Look, just leave me alone, please!" I pleaded.
"I'm not here to hurt you, believe me." He said, in a calm manner.
(Raphs POV)
I watched the beautiful brunette walking quickly to her destination. "Wow", he thought. "I can't believe some lowlife numbskull almost violated her." "She would never be interested in me, especially at a time like this." "I should probably leave her alone, but she's so innocent...and stunning. "Those big brown eyes...I could melt into those in no time."
"Okay Raph, stay focused," he spoke softly out loud.
The young lady seemed unaware of his presence until he leaned over the ledge too far and she saw his shadow.
"Dammit Raph, stop staring at her," he growled to himself. You don't wanna blow your chances before you gain her trust.
I heard a few more words exchanged between her and someone on the other line and then I knew this was it, now or never. I leaped from the roof and started my journey with my soulmate.
