Priorities

Raph spent most of the morning thinking about his brothers. He wanted to go home, but he hadn't decided what he was going to say or do yet, and he was beginning to get closer to Addy. He was just so confused.


"My family needs me, but Addy needs me, and I need her, ahhhh!!" he screamed and slapped himself. "You've got to decide Raph ol' boy, what's it gonna be?" He spoke outloud with sincerity.


Raph made the decision to go back to his family. He whipped his sais behind his back in his holsters and got dressed. Before be put his helmet on he left a note for Addy.


"Hey Addy,
I know this is sudden, but I've decided to go back to my family. If you want to continue to be in my life meet me on the corner of 7th and Mitchell. If you don't want any part of me anymore I understand. I'll be waiting.

"That ought to be good enough," he thought to himself. And with that, Raph left her apartment through her upstairs window and took to the rooftops with a smile. He missed his family, but mostly Mikey. He loved teasing him and joking around with him; even if he always rocked his nerves; he was still his baby brother.

Addy was focused on her work. Not because she was enjoying it, but because she was high off of the thought of Raph.


"Nothing can bring me down today!" She exclaimed. "I wonder what he's doing?" "Push-ups, jogging, watching tv?" "Meh, he's probably just sleeping," she laughed. "That's what I would be doing if I weren't stuck here."


Sarah peeked her head around the corner from her office space.


"Hey you wanna go out tonight, Addy?" She asked. "All this stress from work has got me wanting to go dancing." "After work, just me and you, no boys to bother us," she said moving her arms around mimicking dance moves.


"Haha, thanks Sarah, I appreciate it, but I think I'm just gonna go home and sleep." Addy said.


Sarah made a pouty face and crossed her arms. "Boo, you're no fun, guess I'll just have to find all the cute guys on my own," she winked. They both laughed and Addy went back to working.


Seven o' clock couldn't roll around fast enough. On the inside, Addy was bouncing around like a 12 year old girl at a Justin Bieber concert, but she calmly left work and got on the bus. She got more and more excited the closer she got to her apartment. She practically ran the last block, so thrilled to see how Raph was doing.


She burst into her apartment with a huge smile on her face. "HEY!" She screamed. She didn't see Raph. "Uh, hello?" "Raph?" She wandered through the rooms and upstairs before finally making it to the kitchen to find his note. Her heart sank before she even read it.


She sat down at her table, sad, but then she thought to herself. "This must be what was wrong; I knew something was up with him."


After a few brief seconds she stuffed the note In her jeans pocket and rushed out the door, not even worrying about her purse or I.D.


She was memorizing the note and looking it over while she walked the six blocks to where the note said to be. She kept looking over the salutation, "With much Affection."
She couldn't help but smile and giggle the whole walk over, "So he does care..." She played over and over in her mind. She imagined all the things that he could have planned for her when she got there. Flowers, chocolates, the usual stuff. "Nah, she thought, that's not like him."


She got to the address and checked the note one more time to make sure she was in the right place. "7th and....she turned around, Mitchell." "Yup, I'm here." "But where's Raph?"


She heard movement on the pavement. The man-hole started to move and she became frightened. "Uh, Raph, is that you, please tell me that's you cause I'm freaking the hell out."


"Hey!!!" Said someone in a loud whisper from underneath the street. "It's me Addy, it's Raph!"


"Oh thank God!" She let out a breath of relief. "What are you doing under there?"


"Long story, just come with me." He said, still peeking out.


"Down there!?" "Gross!" "But...I'll bite," she said.


He lifted himself up so that his upper body was showing. "Hopefully not too hard," he winked.


"Oh, you little devil you," she winked back and walked over to the entrance.


Raph lowered himself so Addy could climb down.


"Uh, you're gonna have to help me, it's not like I go playing in the sewers every night, and I can't see a thing." "How do you manage down here, where's the ladder?"


"I'm used to it," he said happily. He was dying on the inside from joy. He was about to burst at the site of seeing her again. He couldn't believe she actually came, but he remained composed.


She started her descent with a little help and was on the very last step but she didn't reach her foot down far enough and slipped off.


"Gotcha!" He said smiling.


Addy's face was so hot from blushing that she had to look away.


"Why thank you good prince," she said royally and giggled.


Raph rolled his eyes and set her up right.


He decided to play along; "You're quite welcome my queen," he said while giving a bow to her.


Addy let out a loud laugh and smiled so wide.


Raph couldn't take it anymore. He rushed to her and grabbed her. Addy's smile dropped and she became serious.


"Addy, I, uh.." He looked down. Her beauty was too much, and he loosened his grip on her.


Before Raph could get another word out Addy went in for the kill. She kissed him hard on the lips and leaned into his arms. He tightened his grip on her waist and pulled her in. He lifted her slightly and at that moment, they both had wings. A shock went through both of their bodies and no one could tell them it was wrong. This was perfection, pure love like a child, and the stars were all aligned for their relationship.


Raph was the first to try a little more action, and Addy agreed with his movement. She put both hands on his face and they swapped spit for about 5 minutes before Addy pulled away.


"That....was...WOW!" He shrieked.


"Are you blushing Mr. NightWatcher?" She giggled and they hugged each other again and both smiled. Raph climbed the ladder to put the man-hole cover back in its place.


They were both smiling, but it was so dark that only their teeth were visible, and Addy hugged him again; laying her head on his chest. Raph put his right hand on the back of her head and stroked her hair.


"So where are we going?" She asked, still hugging him.


"Well, I was hoping you would meet my family." "Next to you, they're the only thing I have." He said.


"Oh cool, do they look like you??" "Is one of them Leo, the one from your dreams?" She inquired.


"Yeah, they're great, you'll love them." He smiled, trying to avoid the Leo question.


"And I'll be welcome?" Addy said.


"Oh sure!" "They never get visitors so they'll be happy to see anyone, or anything." "Especially Mikey, he can be a little touchy feeling so he'll probably give you about 10 hugs before you can even get ya name out."


"Great, lets go!" "Hugs all around!" She laughed.


Raph gave her one more peck on the lips and let her go. They began walking side by side and Addy reached for Raphs hand. He took it and they both smiled at each other.
