A New Comrade

I was kind of having writers block so I hope you guys like this chapter!! I'm not sure where I wanna go with the story yet, so bear with me :D

Raph and Addy walked into the common room holding hands but Raph quickly ripped away from her when he saw that Sensei had already left.

"NO NO NO!" He screamed and fell to his knees. "I was supposed to be there for him; to not let anything harm him, and now he's run off to fight Shredder alone." "How could you be so selfish Raph.." He thought to himself.

Addy quickly put her hand on his shoulder and then knelt beside him.

"It's not your fault Raph. Besides, who says we still can't go help him?"

Raph looked up at her. "You know what, you're right. I'm not gonna just sit on my butt and do nothin'." Leo's not the boss of me and I'll just have to put him in his place if he tries to stop me."

He sensed something and looked at her. Addy had the saddest look in her eyes and it made his heart ache.

"Raph," she whispered, you know I'm coming with you." "I can't leave you, not at a time like this."

Raph just looked away and got up; strapping his sais to his back holsters. He knew it was pointless to argue with her. She was too much like him, and no amount of fighting could change her mind. Once either one of them had their hearts set on something it was futile to persuade them to stop their mission.

"Alright," he smiled, "let's go save our father."

Addy smiled wide and ran to the dojo to grab her new sais. She tried to twirl them like Raph but dropped both of them in the process and she just shrugged. "Hey, I'm learning," they both laughed.

They were just about to leave when they heard banging, clanging, and footsteps.

"Yeah, boy!" Yelled the orange bandana. "You guys can't have all the action!"

"You didn't think we'd let you have all the fun did you?" Smirked Donnie.

Leo, Donnie, and Mikey all emerged from the shadows holding their weapons of choice. Leo had swords and Donnie had a long stick, but she couldn't tell what Mikey was twirling.

Mikey could read her curiosity and he finished her thought.

"These are called nunchucks, wanna try them out?" He said.

Addy shook off her stare; "Uh, no thanks, I'm good." "Raph gave me his first pair of sais," and she pulled them back out to show them.

"What!?" They all shrieked in unison." "Wow you must really be special; he won't even let us near them!" said Donnie.

"Yeah, I can't even look at them, much less touch them without Raph getting all sentimental on me," Leo said while sheathing his swords.

Addy just blushed and sought comfort from the awkwardness in Raph and she inched closer to him.

"Hey, dorks, we've got a job to do, are we gonna do this or not?" Raph said in his best leader tone, trying to stop the teasing before it even began.

"Sure Mr. Big Soft Teddy Bear," joked Mikey from a safe distance.

"Why I oughta.." Raph growled, drawing back his fist.

He felt Addy looking into his soul and decided to withdraw from his emotions and he just sighed.

"Phew," sighed Mikey, "I gotta keep you around more often Addy." "You've got the magic touch with Raph."

Addy just giggled and Leo interjected.

"We need a plan before we go busting up in there not knowing what's going on; it could get Sensei killed, or one of us."

"I've been working on that today," said Donnie. "I have a blueprint map of the warehouse listed under the owner Oroku Saki. It's about 15 blocks from here so we'll need to take the ShellRaiser." "I also mapped out the ventilation shafts so we should able to sneak in relatively easy."

"Good work, Donnie," said Leo. "But are we sure that Addy should join us, looking at Raph. This is a dangerous mission, and we have little room for errors. It's bad enough having Mikey around setting off alarms."

"HEY!" Yelled Mikey, and Donnie cracked a smile.

Raph's eyes widened in horror and couldn't believe what he was hearing. "She's ready Leo," he said with force, gritting his teeth. "I'm not leaving her here to chance." "She stays, forever; she's part of this family now."

They glared at each other for a few more seconds until Donnie broke the silence.

"So, uh, yeah, I was thinking Mikey and Leo stick together, and Raph, Addy, and I will work together."

Addy remained silent while the brothers talked out the rest of their plan until they decided it was solid enough.

"We'll see how things go," Leo said. "We have to be prepared for any delays or impediments." "Anything can, and will go wrong."

"You worry too much," mumbled Raph but Leo ignored him.

Addy grabbed Raph's hand for reassurance. She had no idea what she was getting into, but she didn't care; as long as it included Raph. He smiled at her and said, "Are you sure you wanna do this, it's going to be very tough, and requires a lot of skill."

"Yes," was all she said.

The other brothers were loading up the ShellRaiser with all of the necessary gear and equipment while Addy followed Raph like a lost puppy.

There wasn't an extra seat on the Shell Raiser so Raph let Addy sit in his seat and he sat on the floor next to her, but Addy wouldn't let him get away with that and sat next to him leaving the seat vacant and laid her head on his shoulder. All of this happened without a word shared between them; it was a mutual understanding.

Leo, Mikey, and Donnie all gave each other a look, and Raph could feel them glaring at him, but he ignored them and just squeezed Addy's hands within his one.

"We've got a long night ahead of us; it's good that we're resting right now." He said softly. "Just remember what I've taught you, stick by me, and you'll do fine."

Addy just looked at him for a while, kissed his cheek, and put her head back down.
