If you all are wondering, no I didn't lose my dad yet. I'm just feeling like writing this to him because I'll never know when life is going to hit at its hardest. So, I'll stop now. ENJOY!
•••••••••••••••••••••••••••

Papa,
You've been there for most of the times.
Good and bad.
Always there behind me,
To guide me and to catch me.
You were always the strong one.
You were always the teacher.
You were always the sacrificer.
You did it all.

Although you're so tired from working all day,
You still come home.
With a smile on your face.
Although you wanted to rest,
You did all the things that I wanted to do.
Without hesitation.

When you knew that something was wrong,
You corrected me although I was being a stubborn mule.
When you knew that I hurt you to the core,
You forgave me and moved on.
When you lost your patience,
You regained it and showed me why I was wrong.
Even if it hurt me too.

You were my first love,
The one who would go with me everywhere even if you didn't have to.
You were my hero,
Always the one who stood by me in times of trouble.
You were my first coach,
You taught me all you knew for the sports I grew to love.
You were my first musical idol.
You taught me the ways of music, though you only had to offer your voice.
You were my first judge,
You were honest when I asked you if there was something to improve.
I knew I could always count on you.

Papa,
Although you annoyed me most of the time,
You're still my Papa.
You only showed your love this way,
Because you didn't received it as a child from anyone.
Not even from your own Papa.
You lived in the hard and cold world,
Trying to balance desires and needs.
You helped your parents as one of the oldest siblings, with the younger ones.
You were the only one who went beyond the comfort zone of life.
And went onto the unknown and achieved many things.

Even if the scars from the past,
Are unforgettable,
I forgive.
Although you left,
I understood because you had to provide.
Now, we're together again.
I'm sorry for the times I pushed you away.
Put you to 2nd place.
I'm sorry.

Papa,
You aren't perfect.
But, you're perfect to me.
No matter what happened in the past,
It's behind us now.
Whatever happens in the present,
Happens now.
The future is not far.
And we don't know what would happen.
All we can do is hope.

I love you,
Papa.
