Thankful

Thank you for giving me light.
Thank you for staying with me through the night.
You were holding onto me tight, while I let everything flow through like a river finding its way to the sea.
As everything spins and moves on,
You stayed with me through the rough winds and wailing rains.

Thank you for believing in me when I've lost faith.
The shadows that surrounded me, beat me down to ground
Showed no mercy, but you came in as the dawn and
Casted the shadows away to their dark place.

Thank you for everything. Because of you
I'm inspired once again.
